Im not sure what you're asking... What would I think if God and nature were the same thing? Well, I dont believe in God, thus, I dont think of them being the same thing.
Look up Pantheism.

you are refering to pantheism, atheist's do not beleive in a god at all, pantheist's beleive that god is all of nature, an underlying force that is responsible for life, althoe they refer to nature as god, they are using god in a non religious sence. they dont pray to nature and nature does not intervine in human affairs on a personal level. Atheist's deny that god exists on any level.

I love nature, but I hate god. Nature surrounds us physically, god controls us mentally. Nature provides for us so we can live happily. God demands from us so we can die fearfully.
Get my drift?
Also. If god is nature, then nature is devine, which would describe the beliefs of pagans and druids (I think that's right)

I am not atheist, because I find that belief, one very hard to believe in. But I think, that they would have to rethink quite a bit. It is one thing to deny something you don't "see" right in front of you, etc. It would be another to have to face facts. I think it must be tiring sometimes to have to explain away things, as impossible, when so much points toward the opposite of what you want to believe. Somehow, they carry on.....

I would say..."Pray to an acorn and see if you can make it grow into a pine tree." When you can't I will tell you that this is the nature of things and that there is no conscious being influencing or manipulating the course of matter.
