i heard this a lot and i think its true. they cant get arrested because of their job so they just gonna keep on molesting them. popes and priest and baptist people are all dangerous pedophilia and need to be brought to justice!!!!!

Here is something to think about. When I was young I was a Boy Scout. One night we inducted three Eagle Scouts at one time. A significant accomplishment anywhere but given the small size of our troop, it was staggering. That same night a high school football game turned into a near riot with vehicles damaged, fights and some hospitalizations. Now let me ask you, which of those two events made the front page? Yep, the riot.
Bad news sells papers, good news doesn't. Many people go to races to see a wreck, to hockey games to see a fight and the list goes on.
I guess what I am saying is you will always hear about the bad but do you suppose the ratio is higher among priests, or plumbers. I don't know, but I do know many religious organizations do a lot of good work. And you heard it from an Atheist...

They don't all molest children. It gets sensationalized in the media, creating a perception that the problem lurks behind every corner.
It is a known problem and I agree that those guilty should face justice, and that an increased amount of attention is needed to address what appears to be a growing problem.
I also believe one of the worst things a person can do is falsely accuse someone of pedophillia without concrete evidence.

Popes dont do it anymore. Many priest get convicted of pedophilia . The catholic church in the USA is almost bankrupt because of all the money they were ordered by the courts to give to the victims.
Many Bishops got also indicted because they protected the criminal priests.

A small percentage of priests molest children, but it has not been demonstrated that they do so at a rate any higher than the general adult male population. I'm not aware of any reports of child molestation by a pope.

Not it is not true. Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI did not molest little boys.
There are only a few who did and are paying for it. You should not dwell so much on the sins of the religious.

Afraid so. Lawmakers, politicians and the news media try to look the other way when it comes to sex crimes against 'men of the cloth'. Pope Benedict had a sexual lawsuit against him dropped in Dec 2005. The Vatican asked that he be given 'diplomatic immunity' and it was granted. (Saddam didn't get diplomatic immunity).They need religion to keep opiating the masses while they pull the wool over your eyes.

they used to call them [the kids] catamites, a young boy kept by a priest for sexual purposes. i believe this was because it was a sin to have sex without marriage and the priests werent allowed to marry. how fuckd up is that. sex isnt a sin, molesting children is and should be punishable with complete and painful emasculation via Rottweiler.

It may well be true. If it is they will suffer terribly for it in this life and in the life to come lest they repent acknowledge their sins and come to a true saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Remember not all who call on the name of the Lord are saved just those who come with full repentance and accept Jesus as their personal Savior and turn away from sin. God is Holy and He wants a Holy people.Jesus said there will be those in the last days that say Lord Lord have we not prophesied in thy name and done all manner of miracles in thy name, but Jesus will say depart from me you workers of iniquity for I never knew you.
