I'm 7 months pregnant with my 2nd child, and I have a 13 year old son [my 1st child] who goes to boarding school out of state. He is coming back today from school [storms prevented him from returning yesterday]. The problem is - he doesn't know that I am pregnant with his younger brother, because I didn't tell him before (because I didn't think he would react well). Since I am seven months [30 + weeks], I obviously CANNOT hide that there is a baby growing in my belly. So, when I see him in a couple of hours, and he see's my big belly what do you think he'll do/say? What should I do? Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Dear Girl, just be honest and up-front with your teenager, unless you went about getting pregnant the wrong way - then you really need to think about your answer, here. If on the other hand, you are married and the father of your unborn child is your husband, you have nothing to worry about, just tell your teenager that you had other things on your mind and some how forgot to mention it to him. Be honest and the truth will overcome all obstacles. Congratulations! I was never able to have children.

Really think you should have told him before this but he will problably be upset. Thirteen year old boys have a hard time with sexuality and when you are talking about Mom and sex well......?!!! To him its painfully obvious and might cause him some embarrassment. But in the long run he will adjust Im sure and love the baby.

you cant control his reaction, all you can do is be honest and present the information in the best way you can. Tell him that you wanted to tell him in person and ask how he feels accepting that his feelings are not right or wrong. Show his feelings respect but let him know if he disapproves it wont change anything

At 13 he should be mature enough to handle the situation without flipping out. My children were happy when they found out they were getting another brother or sister... I don't know why your son wouldn't be happy about it.

tell him " i can tell you see im expecting!" if he looks at u funny. then explain to him about how you really wanted to tell him. tell him you know he might be mad you didnt tell him at first, but you couldnt just get an abortion or something, cause of how cruel it is, if u dont wanna be that specific, just tell him hes gonna be a big brother soon!

I'd expect him to freak out. I'd personally be pissed if my mom didn't tell me something that important until I stumbled upon it. You could have some really nasty fall-out because of this. Expect this Christmas to be a rough one.
