I have been in love with the same guy for twenty years. We dont see each other often but when we do there is always sparks. We are always touchy feely and stuff and it makes me happy, The problem is that he lives a state away from me. We write letters and talk on the phone. He doesnt know how I feel about him though. Every time I see him I get butterflies in my stomach. What should I do? Thanks in advance for your help. Please noone tell me to move on because I cant do that not until he knows how I feel about him.

Just take the plunge, if he doesn't feel the same way st least you will know. Maybe he has been stuck in the same rut you are and is afraid to mention it for fear of the possible rejection. If you both move from friends to lovers, your biggest regret will be that you waited so long to make the switch. Good luck.

First be honest with this guy, The worst that can happen is he will say he doesn't feel the same but still want to remain your Friend. The best he man be glad you told him and was wondering how to tell you the same thing.
Look life is to short to let opportunities pass you by. If he really cares then goe for it but remember there is those who like to play the game (have one at home and keep another on a sting just in case things don't go right at home).I am not trying to discourage you I just want you to be careful.

If you just gotta know -- then be a woman and draw the line in the sand.
Love is not for the faint at heart and you aren't a spring chicken if you have already WAITED 20 years to FIND OUT.

Tell him, Sweetheart. If you can't tell him in person, write him a nice letter. That throws the ball into his court and his response will let you know whether to move on or not...

if you can't move on, and you are pining away for him, for goodness sakes, take the chance and tell him. if he doesn't feel the same way about you, you might be disappointed but at least you'll know. it's been 20 years, tick tock.....
