Even though we still call them a fifth, in the US at least they are no long a real fifth. Originally a fifth was one fifth of a gallon or 25.6 fluid ounces. This equals 768 ml. "Fifths" now contain 750 ml.
Makes you wonder who gets the extra thirteen mls or .6 ounces.
The next smallest size was a pint and now is sold as 375 ml.
