are you rich and he's not...cause in that case, he's into you for the wrong reasons and it shows....get out of it!!
or, maybe i m being paranoid, and this is just a case of mismatched perceptions, like you think a message in a bottle is more personal and heart-felt, and he thinks you care about him only when you get him that cool designer thing he's been drooling over....
anyway, you are my kinda girl....i love things that may not be expensive but come from the heart...

He should be satisfied with whatever you give him. It shouldn't matter if it has a price on it or not.
I believe the best gifts are the ones that someone MAKES. Irreplaceable.
