I recently met and developed a relationship with a wonderful man. All was well until he told me he had been seeing a lady for over a year that he couldnt get close to. He had sent her away with a choice to make after Christmas. Move on with him or finish. He says i have turned his head, he texts me everyday and we have shared some wonderful intimate times. I am trying to be as patient as i can and not bother him. He has 2 teenage girls that i get on with very well. They have told me they prefer me to her, which although very welcome was embarrassing for me. Do i make him choose, or just keep doing the patient kind friend thing and wait? I really want him, but i feel i may get hurt. I'd love to move on with him. What do i do?

hi, i no its probably not wot u want to hear but if this guy met u an didnt end it with the other woman straight away then he probably never will. u may of turned his head but he is still holding on to the first woman for some reason. i think that any kind of relationship would be out of the question because you will always be second best. he is probably telling you one thing an saying another to her. the guy is obviously a player and is stringin you both along. i would say that you should definatly move on and find somebody who has eyes for u an only u. u deserve better. x

this is so sad for you to be dealing with at this time of year. it sounds to me, like he has not made his mind up. if he truly cares/cared for you, then he should not have got involved in the first instance, he should have waited until he has cleared his head of the other lady and then began with you from fresh! the fact that he has introduced you to his daughters also makes him sound like a slefish person - sorry if this offends you. he is essentailly involved with 2 women and should not have got involved with you.
i think if she comes back and tells him she chooses him, he will go to her! like women, men also love to be treated like c r a p sometimes and the fun is in the chase.
i wish you luck and happines - whatever the outcome is.

He sent her away with a choice to make, sounds a bit harsh to me. Does he want to be 'chosen' by her or is he keeping his options open in case she decides against it? I wouldn't rush in too soon, do what makes you happy and don't dance to his tune because it sounds like he's got you waiting in the wings in case she dumps him.

Well since today is christmas, she cant take that much longer. And if he is really into you, he will choose you over her. For now, you should just wait and see what unfolds. Everything happens for a reason.

Hold on a minute Hun.....are you in a relationship with an attached man? You need to tell him you want him fully and want him to make a choice and stick to it!

wait until the woman he is with has given him a decision, if its still taking longer than try hinting it to him, cos at the end of the day you also need to know too.

actually thats horrible, if i was you i wouldnt of started a relationship with any man that was already in one! that means he was cheating on her with you, having his cake and eating it to, make him choose! dont be left as the third wheel....its either you or her, if he doesnt choose or doesnt choose you get out of that relationship!

Hmm lets see.... sounds like you are his second choice fallback.
Rather you than me letting yourself be someone's second choice.
