Yule was several days ago. A little late, but thanks for asking anyway.

Family and friends gathering for dinner and making merry is not uncommon. Normal? Maybe you mean common? I can list some common traditions for a Wiccan Yule celebration.

Traditions are those things that you do over and over. You pretty much make your own traditions, with your family or your friends.

We have an evergreen tree, the symbol of the promise of rebirth. We burn a Yule Log, and in our house it is a sign of respect for the trees that bring warmth during the long winter we have here.

We have a wreath that symbolizes the constant cycle of life, death and rebirth. We have candles we light on the longest night, to "call back the sun" as it were. Very much a solar celebration.

We also put food out for those smaller creatures who need to eat at this time of the year. Bird feeders are kept full. We enjoy drawing nature to our home, and we remember them throughout the long winter.

You will find that different folks will add to this list, having other traditions that they started in their families or Wiccan Traditions, but these are the basics.

It's a little late for Yule :) But obviously candles or a bonfire would go with the return of light and lengthening days. Feasting is pretty traditional in many places, fasting would also be appropriate. Most every coven has their own way of celebrating.

There are several normal Wiccan traditions for yule as well as several Pagan traditions. It would depend on who you ask as far as what answer you get.

The sunset to sunrise vigil is a pretty classic one.

I doubt they have any tradition for yule. Why would they? They don't even belong to God...what's to celebrate???
