Get a professional to get rid of the virus because you obviously don't know what you are doing. You'll end up destroying her machine if you don't let a pro do it. Copy to a disc? That's the dumbest thing I've heard.

First down load a standard antivirus and spy ware and save them in a suitable location. Do not install. After saving you can copy them in aCD and transfer it to the other computer. If you need, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

Just go to a anti-virus website right click on the download and choose to Save to Disk. While you are at it I suggest you get Hijackthis as well.

Download HijackThis---http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php#hijackthis.

Run and Save a Log. When you log comes up copy and paste the entire log at http://www.hijackthis.de/ . Analyze your results. You will then get a screen that will tell you if you have any nasty stuff in your computer. Follow instructions to deal with any nasties. CAUTION: This is a very powerful tool. Be careful.
