I am a true believer. I am also a very rational, informed, and educated individual. There is nothing silly, misinformed or nuts about believing or not believing. This statement is also very inaccurate as most of the people trained in various forms of rational logical thinking....scientists, philosophers, mathmaticians have some sort of religion. Who determines who these "rational" people are? Would you define rational only as someone who did not believe? This would be a rather irrational definition. So my answer would be no.

Whats a rational person? If its one of those folks who likes the sound of an idea and goes along with it with out doing a serious personal investigation of it then what difference does it make. Usually what people refer to as their thinking is just the shuffling of their prejudices.
Main Entry: 1prej·u·dice
Pronunciation: 'pre-j&-d&s
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Latin praejudicium previous judgment, damage, from prae- + judicium judgment -- more at JUDICIAL
1 : injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights; especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims
2 a (1) : preconceived judgment or opinion (2) : an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge b : an instance of such judgment or opinion c : an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.
What sort of rational person are you? You aren't one of those prejudiced rational people are you? Glass house? I'll be right over.

I'm not a believer in anything, if I can help it... BUT rational people are at a great disadvantage when it comes to reality...
If you want to know why rationality robs you of reality, then read The Yin of Tai-Chi by John Lash.

No. They are only too happy to live in their own little world with their petty dictator, Biblegod. If only they didn't try to bring the rest of us along with them, there wouldn't be a problem. But they insist on:
1: Trying to legislate their dogma into law.
2: Trying to rewrite scientific fact to suit their dogmas.
3: Trying to claim moral authority over everyone else.
4: Trying to spread misinformation, distortions and outright lies about everyone they disagree with.
Them's fightin' words.

No...we do not.....Christians have been taunted...put down and not accepted from the beginning....yes ... I find it funny that all so called rational non-christians have nothing better to do than find fault with the beleivers....it would be GREAT if they would find some other happiness in their life than doing satans bidding and do something great in life ..like LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR...may the GOOD GOD BLESS YOU AND PULL YOUR HEART STRINGS....BRING YOU HOME TO HIM ...MERRY CHRISTMAS

no, because we see them as misinformed. we actually care about them and pray for them whereas they make fun of us. we dont care because the only opinion that matters is gods, and in the end they will know how silly we aren't

When you know the truth, the opinions of men are of small consequence, except insofar as you realize what the consequences of their beliefs will lead them to - namely, eternal destruction.
I try to persuade men, because I was once a damned fool (and I use the term advisedly), just as they are still.
