I had been dating a guy long distance, and we seemed to have a very nice relationship, but then he didn't call for five weeks. Well, he called last night to wish me a merry Christmas and he acted like nothing had ever happened...of course I asked him why I haven't heard from him. He said he was on his cousin's phone and he would call me today, but he kinda acted like he was surprised that I would ask such things....

Why would someone disappear and then pop up all of a sudden like nothing happened? And what should I say to him when he calls?

Long distance relationships are hard to know the entire truth behind, especially if you've never actually met him.
He could be involved with someone else, or even married. It's really tricky.

Maybe you should talk to him but use a constructive way of doing it you have to understand long distance relationships aren't always a guaranteed thing and we just have to live with that maybe he is hiding something and i believe you should ask him in a way such as why haven't you called in five weeks do you not feel the same and then be like I'm sorry if you don't like me asking but i really care about you and would muchly appreciate it if you could tell me so i know what is going on because i want to feel comfortable in this relationship but i am going to need you help ya know and is it doesn't work I'm sorry i will try to help i every way possible E-mail me flaminblue_babe07 or I'M me okkk

I do not know what to say, but I think he only saw you as a friend. This is how friends in a long distance relationship act. They will call each other on occasion to catch up. Lovers call all the time and more for no reason. Maybe, he never "liked" you, or maybe, he lost the interest he once had in you. Maybe, he found someone closer to home. These are all reasons why he would suddenly stop calling. One thing is for sure. He either cares about you to call on Christmas, or he is a player. I would clarify with him whether he is a friend or more...

well i am sorry but i dont think he feels the same way about you as you do. Yes i know guys are forgetful however if he really saw somethihng between you too he would try to keep the relationship gonig however iask myself why did you not try to call him it does go both ways, i would lok at the relationship and then decide if it is that great of a one anyway and tell him what you think

dating long distance is a problem for anyone, you will have to understand that unless this relationship is very solid there will be some flirting or dating on the side I dont know how old he is but would say that it is very important to realize he is not going to stay at home and he shouldnt expect you to unless your relationship is farther than dating, dont call him make him call you and let him know you srent staying home either

Something similar happened to me (though mine did not call for a week)

I simply told him that from talking to my sisters and girlfriends, I have deceided that it would be best if he stopped talking to me!

I have found a new guy friend that is way........ more matured!

Dump him and move on! The anxiety (from the way that he leaves you hanging on) is not worth it!

well, if i were you, i would keep my options open. if you two had been dating for some while now, i would completely trust him, and you should ask for his trust in return. ... but if you recently started this relationship, you might be getting beaten out by some other chick. and its okay to ask questions about it. trust me. and if he doesnt call you for some while, call him just to let him know that you care. he might have been expecting your calls too. and he sounded suprised b/c he was suprised. think about it : put your self in his shoes.

Sounds to me like he does not really care for you. One sided relationships are not fun. Dump him
