I bought my Epson Stylus Photo 825 with card reader for $9.90. It prints nicely but the reviews scream about its ink usage. Then again I picked it up at Goodwill. It was a good buy at that price, even had pretty full, working ink cartridges. The chances of you finding any usable printer for $50 or less is slim unless you're a dumpster diver like me.

I did a search at MySimon.com, the comparison shopping site. I didn't find anything under $50 but there were a few in the $75 range.
