Let's see:
I have no gods before him (in fact, no gods at all),
I don't make idols,
I wrongfully use His name,
I do not keep the Sabbath holy,
I do agree with all the rest though.

None of them, they all start with Thou Shalt or Thou Shalt Not. I don't believe moral absolutes are dictated by any external "Higher Power". But as for which ones I personally would deem appropriate for civilized society and/or choose to follow, I'll take 8.
I have no gods, period, so that sort of counts for #2.
I don't worship any false idols (what's the point if I have no gods?).
I try to spend at least one day a week doing something besides work, since the alternative makes Jack a dull boy.
I'm very fond of my parents, and appreciate what they've done for me.
I'm against killing people, generally.
I'm a big fan of monogamy.
I don't steal, and attempt to tell the truth as often as possible.
While I might covet my neighbor's wife's *** from time to time, I try to avoid being jealous of things I can't have, if for no other reason than it's a bloody waste of time.
So that just leaves taking the name of the goddamn Lord in vain, (goddamnit!), and the first one, which isn't really a commandment so much as a statement of fact which I personally believe is fallacious.

I agree with four of them:

You shall not murder.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.

I also agree with the ones about adultery and honoring your parents under certain circumstances, but not under all circumstances like the commandments are meant.

I agree with "You shall not murder".

The rest all depends on the situation. I can think of situations in which all the other ones could be a good thing even.

That doesn't mean I commit adultery, steal, etc, etc. I'm just saying that I won't blame a girl that was raped by her father for not honoring that same father anymore.

Thou shalt not murder. That's about it.

Why?

Well, the first four cover God and/or the worship of a God I don't believe in.

Adultery as defined by the Bible prohibits divorcing and then remarrying. People make mistakes. People also have the right to handle their marriages as they see fit. So long as no one is hurt, it's none of my business.

Coveting? Our entire economy would collapse if we followed that commandment. Is it healthy to think of nothing other than keeping up with the Joneses? No. But is it wrong to see something you like and think, "Hey, I want one of those"? Um, no.

Stealing? I would not blame a starving person or a desperate mother for stealing what they need.

Honor your father and mother? Sure. Good idea... unless your father molests you or your mother beats you. Children have rights, too.

As ethical principles go, we would certainly agree that murder, stealing and bearing false witness are moral offenses worthy of prosecution. (That cares care of 3.)

Adultery, and wanting your neighbor's wife or property indicate a character with weak moral standards. (3 more).

You should certainly honor your parents, but only IF THEY DESERVE IT. Abusive parents should not be respected and their children may have to be protected from them. In short, honor must be earned - after all, it isn't as if cruelty makes you sterile.
(Conditional approval of 1.)

The other 3 are silly and seem to have been written by someone used to bowing before vain, insecure and cruel tyrants.

By the way, the main thrust of the "commandments" has existed in all cultures centuries before the commandments themselves.

I do anything I want to. I don't let rules of some random dude apply to me. None of those commandments should be followed except the murder and covet wife and neighbor's house.

Other than that, I am a Satanist, I don't believe in your god or your satan, I'm never involved with "false witnessing" whatever that is...

I act upon human nature, not block it like an idiot.

hail Satan.

i'm an atheist and that i can't stand Richard Darwkins. Who the hell does this guy think of he's the Pope? 10 commandment: question each thing inclusive of darwkins pastime in atheism which imo is purely approximately money and if no longer i could concern approximately his psychological heath rather frankly. very akin to you Mr Poster , do no longer criticize faith while you're being the two pious.

Don't murder, don't cheat, and don't steal. As for the others I would sum that up by saying it is a waste of time to obsess on having things that are beyond your reach. I would add one, in terms of it being a value we should all have. Don't hold as property another human being. The ten commandments refers to not coveting a person's slave (man/maid servant). Back then that was a slave. What kind of moral crap is that?
