I don't know for sure without knowing the context of the question.
Maybe: Identification Friend or Foe Transponder.
Identification Friend or Foe [IFF] procedures are the primary positive means of aircraft identification in Air Defense operations. Proper use of IFF procedures facilitates rapid engagement of enemy aircraft, conserves Air Defense assets, and reduces risk to friendly aircraft. Any time a plane flies, pilots put a code into their IFF system which others can identify as a friendly aircraft.

It could be either the IFF test or the Integrated Flight Function Test you are asking about. I'm not sure which you mean.
IFF is a system developed by NATO for Identifying who is a Friend and who is a Foe. Therefore, Identification-Friend or Foe (IFF) is a good name for it. IFF is a radio type system relying on codes. When an IFF is interrogated it replies with programmed codes. This IFF system is tested on the ground with the IFFT set by the maintainers. This IFF Test set simulates an interrogation using maintenance codes only.
The other IFFT is an Integrated Flight Function Test and can be found on a/c with fly by wire systems. Different manufacturers have different names for it but they all work the same basic way. The pilot selects the IFFT as part of his pre-taxi test and the flight computer moves the various flight control surfaces through their entire range of motion taking note of anything that doesn't pass. This is then reported to the aircrew.
I hope one of these was the answer you were looking for.
