when i was younger, i never knew about waxing. Its in our genes that women were a bit hairy. So i had a mustache, kinda thicker than other girls but not like a man ofcourse. I got irritated and the only thing i knew was to shave it. When it grew, i shaved. That was pretty stupid of me, huh? Now i'm older, I'm kind of depressed cause of what i did. I have to live with the fact that its thick. What can i do to make the hair grow thinner and actually lighter??? i feel like a man . . . . and i hate it. please help. thanks

I personally just bleach mine now....its still there but its not noticable at all. Before that I tried everything....shaving it, waxing it, plucking it. The only thing that made it thinner and lighter was to pluck and bleach. To get it to grow thinner....well I don't think that's possible...if it is I'd like to know. I do know that you can do laser hair removable...its costly but then the hair won't grow back. Good luck.

First of all, stop worrying.

You shaved it BECAUSE you had a moustache in the same way as a boy your age had a moustache. And shaving CAN'T make it grow thicker. If it's got thicker, it's because it's hormonally-driven growth.

Some girls and women do have moustache growth. It's a fact of life. Others have none. Most have a trace.

Now, here's the thing. Well-meaning people will tell you that if you wax it, it will come back thinner. True, if it's just the very finest trace of hair that wouldn't be worth shaving anyway. But if it's hormonally-fuelled growth, as your moustache probably is, it's likely to have the reverse effect.

Depilatories strong enough to remove moustache growth are likely to burn your skin.

Electrolysis and laswer effective enough to destroy your moustache long-term are likely to cause scarring, burning and discoloration.

Get a decent-quality men's electric razor -- the Norelcos from the men's range are particularly good for women -- and continue to shave using that.

As you said, it's genetics... and hormonal levels. The shaving you did when you were younger probably had little to do with its appearance now. If anything, it only made you more aware of it.

Laser treatments or electrolysis are permanent methods of hair removal, but they can be expensive. Visit several places in person to ask about their suggestions, services, and prices. Because different hairs grow at different rates, it may take several treatments over some period of time.

Waxing will remove the hairs at the follicle, and regrowth should be lighter and sparser. Bleaching only lightens the hair, but does not remove it. It's still there, just not as noticeable. You can do it at home, or have it done at a salon.

A depillatory cream might give you satisfactory results. Just be sure to follow the instructions carefully, so you do not irritate your skin.

Good luck!

This is the answer. Dont wax or pluck or cream.. If you want it to become thinner your only choices are laser or electrolysis. You cant wax anymore, you shaved when u were younger, and its too thick. Plus waxing not for face. The hairs are different to those on the body. More sensetive. Electrolysis is an option, painful though but if u gt the money u might as well go for laser. Check its IPL. I suggest laser and makesure its a good one!!

Dont wory

First, shaving does not make hair thicker. Genetics is the main cause. However, IF you have a hormone imbalance, especially high levels of estrogen, the hair on your entire body will be thicker. That includes the face, legs and head.

Talk to your doctor. There are now some very exception ways to remove facial hair!

first of all, what ever you do, do no longer wax your face. you ought to get a rash or something alongside that line b/c of the fashion of hair that grows there. Waxing your legs is an decision, yet you ought to look too mushy. So i could ought to assert hit upon a razor that gets you closer if no longer somewhat under the floor so which you do no longer ought to shave as many situations. good success

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

hey..!!!
this might be painful & expensive , but you gotta get it waxed right off.. and just the 1st time, to get the hair out by the roots and make the next growth thinner. after that you can wax it again (only when its long enough), or use a depilatory cream thats MEANT for your face. cuz most of them arent. or you could try bleaching it.......
peace !

Don't worry kid, just get it waxed regularly, with the time the growth will slow down on it's own, I am sure u are beautiful, dont let something as small as this depress you, ok?

One possible way to get rid of it is to buy a cream that they sell. They are two kinds actually. One is just to lighten it and another is to take it off. None of the two really burn. I myself use the one to take it off. You should think into buying it.
Hope I helped.
