Here's a cheap trick.

8oz is roughly equal to one cup. Techically, 8 fl oz equals one cup, but if you actually knew all the things I got away with using this trick, you'd be amazed.

Other than that, if you need the chocolate to be melted, then a half a cup of melted chocolate should work. To be on the safe side, use an extra eigth of a cup.

Hope this helps.

Usually it's an 8 ounce bag so a half of a bag should do it. Could be a 12 oz bag so 1/3 of the bag would be the correct amount.

How many oz does it say the bag is total? I think most chocolate chip bags are 12 oz's. So then you would divide the bag into 3 equal parts. One of those parts will be 4 ozs.

One Ounce is equal to approximately 5 1/2 teaspoon or 2 tablespoon. Accordingly you can use it.

Just guestimate in accordance with the weight of the bag and take the approximate amount out. 16 ounces in a lb.
