The other day, I pushed mine off the bed and he turned right around and peed on my clothes lying on the floor of the bathroom.

They most definitely do. And not just towards you. My cats take revenge out on me, eachother, and even the dog. My cat was so mad because the dog stole her favorite toy and destroyed it, so later, the cat stole her chew toy and brought it to the top of the bookshelf so that the dog couldn't get it. But as for your cat peeing on your clothes for revenge, I doubt that is the case. Either the litter box was not up to his standards, or, as another answerer said, your clothes had some sort of smell that triggered him to mark his territory. Had you been around other cats while wearing these clothes?

Oh yeah hon, revenge was invented by cat's.....either that or his litter box wasn't clean enough for his liking. Having said that...if he is older he may be having urinary crystals, which cause the cat to pee wherever he feels he can go....just keep an eye on him and see if he's young just make sure that his litter is really clean, and he has fresh food and fresh water and he shouldn't be so vengeful...at least it works with my 2 cat's and all the other cat's I've had over the years.

P.S. If you find that he yowls when he is trying to pee...you should take him to the vet asap, cause that's a sign of very painful crystals in the urine, which is very common for male cat's and you don't want him to be in pain.

Good luck hon!

I don't know what the cat scientists would say, but I think they do. We have two cats, one of which has decided that my lap is her sole property. If the other one is discovered in mommy's lap, shortly thereafter when the oher one hops down, she will immediately go on a rampage/chase/ fight with the other one.

Also, if we leave overnight, even with plenty of food and water and clean boxes, occasionally when we return we will find a um stinky tool of revenge on the floor. Just one. Just enough to say, "We are not amused"

I do not think so, maybe your clothes had a smell on them that attracted the cat. Next time I would put the clothes in the hamper and not leaving them lying on the floor.

One word. YES!

Your cat's response is classic; especially in younger ones. You wish to have a nice kitty for a companion? Then be a nice companion for your cat.

Altho my girlfriend probably wouldn't wizz on my clothes if I ticked her off... the potential for such an act is there; so I try and keep the peace.

Same with my feline companion of five years. He hasn't really been "Catzilla" to anything or anyone, and I'm his pal just as he is mine.

Oh yeah, because my late aunt used to hate my old cat and would kick at it every time it approached her. Anyhow, the cat ended up taking a leak in her shoe as revenge. She then unknowingly put it on and wondered why her shoe was wet. I told her that the kids may have accidentally spilled water on them, but I knew that the cat pissed in her shoe...LMAO. Need more proof? nuff said!

well technically, they probably don't,however they can associate an action with a "bad" response.I have 5 cats and they are all different.I dont think they have ever peed on any of my stuff, but when I was gone for a long time they acted funny when i did get home.So all in all Cats do have feelings,SO WATCH YOUR BACK!oops i mean your clothes

I believe they do!
I have a male and a female who are unrelated. We've had them for years now but daily since they were kittens my male has to use BOTH litter boxes as soon as they are cleaned. If I scoop them out again right away he'll go right back inside and pee some more.
To get evan my female will poop in one box or the other and not cover it up.And it smells absolutely disgusting!
As soon as the smell wafts thru to where-ever the male is he jumps up and runs to the litter box and disgustedly covers her mess while she flips her tail as if to say "HOW DO YA LIKE ME NOW?!" and walks away.

I think you probably got it right. I know our kitties get annoyed if we are gone from the house for more than a few hours.
