the only hair extensions that you can color, style, and wash like usual are the individual bonded ones. There is a company called SoCap that makes them, I'm not sure if their website tells you if there is a salon in your area that does it but try. They last like 4 months, are pretty expensive but are worth it. The bonds are made of keratin, which is what your hair is made of so they won't hurt anything at all... you can do anything to them! if you live in florida....

yes, you can flat iron it, and it depends oh how you put on your extentions in oder for you to style it, but in most cases you can style your extentions for a different look......but im not sure about coloring it because theres plenty of hair extentions out there that come in varies colors. And since its your first, imma let you know its going to hurt a little, but if you are tender headed(sesitive on your head you know what i mean) its gon be painful, but than again it probably deopends on the person whos doing it for you. When i wear extentions I dont wash it, but im pretty sure you can wash it and all. Also, treat as your own hair so it can last and still look good. Use haispray, pomade, gel and etc. You know.
well good luck.

I've got it done around a year ago. It's very costly, and it's kind of hard to manage. I did it a reputable salon and they attached sort of like plastic rings to my real hair and flat ironed it to make it stay.
They did it strand by strand so the whole process took around 3 hours plus.

It looks quite natural if you do it layer by layer, but it's difficult to wash and difficult to sleep with. They could get tangled and it hurts since it's attached to your natural hair. I brush it every day and made sure I sleep in a proper position (as long as I could help it.)

I took it out around 1 month plus later, got tired of managing it. When I removed it, quite alot of my oringinal hair came out with it.

I wouldn't do it again, but if you just had a ghastly haircut and you're ready to manage it. It should be fine.

You can dye and flat iron it since it's real hair, but when flat ironing at home, be very careful of those little rings in between, and there's quite alot of them, so it'll take time.
