Its going to be really hard. His best luck is to get a hold of someone who knows her. If he had more time, he could go through a lawyer or a private investigator if he really wanted to shell out the cash. They have programs that give complete histories of people- everything to every address and phone number you have ever had to the types of cars or boats that you own. Its pretty powerfuly stuff and makes tracking someone down very easy if you know a little about them. But since your fiance seems to want to do this today, I would suggest googling her name and using people pages online to see if anything comes up. If that doesn't work try calling her church or something like that if he knows that. Otherwise their are people finding services online that say they can track people down for $, so he may be able to spend like $20 and find her info that way. Try these sites...

For about $10.00 at US Search he could do a nationwide search, or in this case a state-wide search based on age and name and state. He will be able to get a 20 year address history, and possible relatives. This information is extracted from public records we all leave behind as we live our lives and pay our bills, earn a living, etc.

If you know the name of the person, dial 141 on your cell, and say Memphis, Tennesee, than ask the operator the cell phone listing of that person.

if he has her address he can look up her number on the reverse directory - maybe. Or he could contact one of her neighbors and ask them to let her know he wants to talk to her...the neighbors should have their number listed and would probably be willing to help.
