As some of you may know, my dear friend Muslimah left Yahoo answers because of the death threats she received. The majority came from Christians.

This bothers me extensively. I never thought Christ would be one to send death threats; why do some who call themselves his followers commit such an atrocity?

If this is true, then it's a sad remark for this group and the folks on it.

There are lots of fanatical folks out there. A sad sign of our times.

You really have to wonder as well just how "Christian" this person is who threatens someone. I am sure on further examination you will find that person is no more a Christian in anything other than name. Actions always speak louder than words.

I am sorry your friend left. I had read some of her replies, and she is a very smart woman who knew what she was talking about.

It's sad we can't all learn to respect each other.

No, not traditionally. Jesus said that we shouldn't even fantasize about having sex with some one we are not married to. He considered that as committing Adultery in you heart. I suppose a death threat could be viewed the same way as murder.

You're fairly pointed question feels like it has a basis in personal experience. Would you care to elaborate?

Ah. The unfortunate true is that some people try to justify ( or glorify ) themselves by saying that some greater power was the inspiration for their evil. I'm sure we can looked at several examples, not isolated to Christianity. I'm sorry that your friend was scared off. In situations like that, I would have forwarded the message to the FBI. They are trained to deal with things like that. They are law here on the USA Internet. Best wishes.

The people sending the threats identified themselves as Christians. Muslimah has had to run and hide in order to protect her family, as this self-named 'christian' was threatening them also. I sincerely hope all Christians are not as lunatic as that one.

These people are not Christians anymore then terrorists are Muslims. Fundamentalists of all religion twist their religion so much it is unrecognizable and loses all the true messages of the religion which run the same be it Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, etc, etc. Jesus would never tolerate this or condone this. His greatest commandments where to love god and love your neighbor as yourself. When they don't love her and threaten her according to Jesus's teaching they are not loving God. Please God, Allah,Yahweh, Buddha, save us from all fundementalist who lose the meaning of religion.

Tell your friend we are truly sorry! And it does not matter if the threat could be carried out or not (to the people who answered it could not be carried out) it is still creating a hostile environment that one would not want to be a part of.

Yes, keep fighting and persecuting and alienating!
Onward Christian soldiers,
Marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus
going on before!
Today is the birthday of the SUN of GOD!
The Sun is awakened today and resuming it's trek northward--
The Sun is born! We all are saved from the deepening Dark!

I fear no death threats, for the Sun is with me!
Bismillah ir Rahmn ir Rahim!
AsSalaam alaikum!

NO it is not exemplary at all.

I would like some proof that they were sent by Christians.
My Clones/Impersonators are posting Blasphemy and homosexual slurs all the time and many think it is me = a True Christian

How could a "death threat" be carried out against your friend Muslima, unless she made personal information about herself available on Yahoo Answers, and that would not have been too smart a thing to do.

Answer: Certainly not. But, I'm assuming that your "question" is hypothetical and just meant to stir controversy.

Update: Your "friend" left Y!A because of "death threats"? And the "majority" (what was the total number and how many from Christians?) were from Christians? And I suppose she told YOU but not Y!A (and we ALL know these issues are VIGOROUSLY pursued here)? Oh GIVE ME A BREAK! What a pathetic attempt to stir noise.

No; we are to love our enemies, if it is true that Muslims are our enemies.

Matthew 5:43-46

43"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor[h] and hate your enemy.' 44But I tell you: Love your enemies[i] and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
