Because Billy Graham said so and he also knows what God
wants you to do. He must be Gods other son. (The rich one)

Some people just believe what they're told to believe.

Learning is hard, Ignorance and "Goddidit" are easy.

Here's one instance of bad "history" in the bible for you: Biblical scholars have determined that the Earth was created in 4004 bce. They've determined this by calculating the geneologies listed in the books of the old testament. This is about a thousand years after the Sumerians invented glue. This is established, verifiable fact.

Another instance of bad "history": The plagues of Egypt, as described in the book of Exodus, are mentioned NOWHERE other than the book of Exodus. Not by the Egyptians, not by any other nation. Only in Exodus.

You want more? Okay: Where did the water come from for Noah's flood? Where did it go? If all the ice at the poles melted, the sea levels might rise a few feet, but no way would it cover the entire Earth.

Last one for now: Nowhere outside the bible is there any mention of Jesus until over a century after his alleged death.

just because The Bible mentions historical events dose not make it a history book... it is not... and there is ample evidence that verifies much of The Bible... that which is not verified to the Believer by God... There is nothing in The Bible for the non-believer. Only those open to the leading of The Holy Spirit will find in The Bible what God Has for them there..... what dose a building have to do with The Bible? I have read mine many times sitting on a log on a mountain top.

In the late 1800s, a British atheist set out to prove the Bible was historically inaccurate. In the process two things happened. He invented the methods used by modern archeology, and he ended up converting to Christianity. Every single thing he looked for from the Bible was there - and matched the details of the Bible.

Since then archeology has again and again proven the accuracy of the scriptures. Within the last 50 years alone, archeologist have found
1) the body of the High Priest who tried Jesus,
2) the body of Jesus's brother James,
3) records showing the census taken at the time of Jesus' birth,
4) a pillar in Persia engraved around 1000-900BC that includes the prophecy of Balaam the son of Beor who foretold the Christmas star,
5) fragments for a manuscript of the gospel of John that dates from 15 to 17 years from the time it was written,
6) a copy of the scroll of Isaiah in the ancient Paleo-Hebrew alphabet in which it was originally written that appears to date within 50 years of the original,
7) the Samaritan tablets that include a mention of Abraham,
8) the official court seal that belonged to Baruch the scribe who worked for Jeremiah (and several other court officials mentioned in Jeremiah),
9) a seal that appears to have belonged to Joseph while we was the co-ruler of Egypt,
10) the name of Euras, a companion of Paul who was the director of public roads in Corinthians, engraved on the bottom of road stones in Corinthians from that time
11) records of the administration of Herod the Great
12) Seven Assyrian tablets which list tribunes received from seven of the different kings of Israel which match exactly the amounts the scriptures list as having been paid.
13) tablets in Egypt which mention the reign of David and his heirs
14) a set of four mosaics in a Greek temple which show Moses parting the sea and drowning the Pharaoh's army
...need I continue.

If you take the time to actually study what archeology has found, it has time and time again proven the accuracy of the events recorded in the scriptures.

Let's check source documents.

Eze 25:10 "Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations."

Not being remembered seems to me to indicate that the Ammonites will not go down in history. But they are mentioned 23 times in the Bible. So did the Israelites mean for the text to be history? If so, their own text both records and denies the above words of their God.

BUZZZZZZ.... wrong answer.

Most all of the cities mentioned in the Bible have been found.... even those that were once thought not to exist.

Most of the historical events described have been externally verified.

I'm not a Chistian, but I know enough to not make such a completely uninformed statement as yours. You really need to look into things before spouting such nonsence.

People can think and believe what they want .
It does not mean it is true.
Even if it were to be true. so what. It has no bearing on us today. Even historical happenings that occurred, lets say in 1621 has no useful impact on humans today. Life moves forward. Only the present matters and possibly the very very near future.

Because every new excavation in the Holy Lands produces more evidence that what is in the Bible is true.

The deeper they excavate, the older the information is that is found.

Each layer unfolds another civilization.

To me, that is amazing how this civilization's material possessions are covering up the possessions of the civilization before.

Archaeologists have used the Bible as a reference book for years.

YOU NEED STUDY!

The question parallels the question

"Why do some people think the Telephone Book is correct?"

Possibly GOOGLE the words "BIBLE + ARCHEOLOGY" and see what happens!

The very first sentence is historical proof. We are on the earth that God created.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

'does the bible historically correct'? - wtf? Noah AND his wife AND his three sons AND their wives[8 people] survived the flood(which happened anywhere from 2348BC[Ussher] to 2793BC[wisdom of God-Lk11:49]). From these 8 people the world was repopulated after the flood[Gen10+11]. There were 10 generations from Noah to Abraham. Abrahams' sons became races unto themselves; arabs, jews, etc. How much moreso 10 generations prior with the sons of Noah?
