Most of the people I know, know how to open a champagne bottle. On rare occasions, we might let a cork fly in the garden (like New Year) but then it will be a cheap kind and not properly chilled. Just for effect. Champagne's for drinking, not target practice.

You should learn to open it properly and volunteer for the job in the future. There's no reason for the cork to go flying across the room, when a little decent technique will prevent it.

I don't know the details, but I am sure that I heard about someone being killed by a champagne cork. Maybe someone else knows?

I am not so afraid of the cork as the fallen glass from the fluorescent light it just hit. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.

i could pass on your counsel. Champagne corks go away the bottle at a honest value of knots. they could reason some harm. this sort of ingredient is by no skill a guffawing count and that i could chide all people who did so.

Dont bother with Champagne if you wanna get giddy! Crack open a case of beer or a really good single malt. No corks included. Then try getting a life you posh T**T! :)

Champagne can be damaged if the cork is let loose too hard so that it flies. Untwist the wire net keeper and just let it "pop" very gently.
