This is a fascinating question. Barna tells us that 90 of 100 Americans believe they'll go to Heaven after they die. Too bad it's not that easy. But wait...ironically it almost is.

The Bible teaches us that our spending eternity in Heaven is something paid for and offered to us by God. All we do is put our faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. So, maybe it is just a matter of what one believes.

I am not going to heaven. I do not qualify. Not many do.

Many are taught that the Bible holds out eternal life in heaven or eternal life in a burning hell.

In truth, the Bible holds out eternal life or eternal death. For some, that life will be spent in heaven. For most, that life will be spent in a restored paradise on earth.

Think about it: Adam was told he would die only if he disobeyed. So if Adam had remained obedient, where would he be? In heaven? No. Right here on earth - living eternally.

What do people think Jesus meant when he said in Matthew that the meek will inherit the earth?

Finally, Jesus' ransom sacrifice bought back what Adam lost. Well what did Adam lose? The opportunity to live in heaven? No. The right to live as a perfect human on earth. No more. No less.

Most of the "little flock" who will rule in heaven with Christ have all gone to live with him already. Only a small number of them are still alive. However, millions who are alive today are part of the "great crowd" of other sheep who will come through Armegeddon alive because they are following Christ. This is the hope most of us have and it is a wonderful hope for soon the earth will again be a paradise and God's will will be done here on earth just as Jesus prayed that it would.

Which religion and heaven are you talking about? One mans heaven is another mans hell. Some it has been said will be mislead by those who pretend to be their lord and savior. There is so much misinterpretation of what is written that it's anyones guess. This is an open ended question.

I would love for the answer to be all 100. No one knows exactly what happens when you leave this earth. I would imagine most anyone that met Jesus at the pearly gates and was asked if they believed; at that moment, they would. I don't know if you get that chance or if you have to make that decision before you leave this place. I know God's desire is that none shall perish.

Few. You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way (Matthew 7:13) But Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."
