I agree. At first I was all for going in but my thoughts have changed completely. It would seem that the majority of Iraq's people do not want us there and they damn sure do not appreciate us being there so before more young Americans die leaving behind widows and fatherless children I say we get out.
It has become a no win situation.

Not knowing how old you are or your background it is hard to give you an answer or opinion. I am a Viet-Nam vet.,I did not agree with that war,but it was my duty to go if sent there.
We were in Viet-Nam to try to stop North Viet-Nam from taking over South Viet-Nam,unfortunatly we failed. Democrats controled congress and the white house, but they didn't protest or object to that war and we lost hundreds of troops every week for years.
Now we have a news media telling us we should get out of Iraq because we lost 3,000 troops in about 4 years.
The Iraqi people want us out as soon as possible, but they don't want us to leave with the job undone.
The Iraqi government wants us to leave, but is not doing much to help us leave. All the relgious leaders want us out,but refuse to work together to unify the Iraqi government or the country.
Now there are allegations that Iran is supporting the insurgents directly with food and weapons and allowing fresh insurgents to enter Iraq through Iran.
Don't forget that the U.N. backed our going to Iraq, but refused to sent troops and our allies also refused to send troops to help.
Most of the member nations to the U.N. are dictatorships.

Yes, the war should be over. They don't want us there, so we need to leave. Too many poor, young and should be retired soldiers are dying daily because of Bush's ignorance. He will pay for his wrongdoings. He will burn if he does not ask for forgiveness. He had major people get together to oversee the progress and they said we should bail, and he did not listen or heed their warnings. He is an idiot. May God take over and help us get out soon. Bless you.

I agree.
Unfortunately, given the egos in Wash DC and the absolute inabilty to admit mistakes, we will have to play this scenario out, at least, until 2008. Then another administration will be charged with the mess of getting us out of Iraq.
In the meantime, more American soldiers and Iraqi civilians will die while we replay Vietnam.

I think you have a point, but if we leave immediately Iraq will be at risk for acquiring a terrorist regime for a government, which could come back to hurt us in the end. I think for the Iraqi people we should try to establish peace and a working government.
