If people cannot even come to an anonymous place like Y!A to ask, answer and discuss questions on religion and spirituality without being overly sensitive, cruel and abusing the "report" feature...what makes some of us beleive we can ever "just all get along" for real, in real life? Aside from the neutrals like myself and the blatently silly posters, the hatred and cruelty reigns supreme here. You can report me for asking this, I don't care. I'm expecting it. I truly hope Earth never faces a global war from space invaders, we'd be history. We'd be too busy squabbling among ourselves.

Humans, by nature, are creatures of conflict. As such, you will have your fair share of assholes. For these reasons, it is important to surround yourself with people you trust, for there will always be malevolent people abound.
There will be no world peace until one of these two happens:
-Humans evolve further, becoming more intelligent and enlightened and conquering the subconscious desire for conflict.
-All humanity becomes extinct.

Unfortunately you are right. No one wants to be told they are wrong so they will defend to the death their right to be wrong. Compromise is a forgotten word and tolerance is for the weak. All the holy books tell us we must live together in peace and yet we pick the passages that justify war. If humanity ever learns to not be so self absorbed we might realize that we really need each other to survive.

I think deep inside, everyone loves mankind. I think people are disappointed, disillusioned and angry for being let down. They don't know how to find reconciliation.

People love drama and controversy and everyone thinks that THEY are right. Humans will always fight, unfortunately.
