Children can believe in Santa Claus and God. If the parents believe in God, I would think they would pass down this belief from an early age.

So what you have to believe in god to believe in santa. Santa is fun for children they don't worship him and how could you even mix the two together. Santa is folklure a fairy tale. Those that think god is real think it is real. And you worship such a tale. So which is which all fantasy. Or just another indication of how weak you are to need to think there are figments of your imagination to get your through your day.

I would rather my child think of santa than have to worry about some god that floats above the stars that is evil or good pending on how strong you believe in him or it.

If you think there is a GOD how can you think there is a santa. You are not to have any other mystical things in your life. Like the tooth fairy. How about the easter bunny for those of you that do easter?

Children believe what they have been told is true by those around
them, untill enough others bring it to their attention that it is not
true.
Most parents do the same thing. They are usually intent on
making a living, having fun and raising kids, etc. and have not
really had time to think for themselves and so just keep parroting
the parrots around them. "Polly wants a cracker"
"Polly wants a cracker" "Polly wants a cracker"
