I had almost the same thing it didn't grow back

The younger you are, the faster it will grow back. If you are elderly, then the rate will be slow to nonexistant. But if you are not that old, then dont worry. It will grow back. It will hurt for a while, though. Ask a doctor how to take care of the pain. You will probably not experience much pain in the growing process. Just dont touch it, or, god forbid, injure it AGAIN. It will be fine.

Yes! Finger nails grow back. One of my preschool kids sucked her thumb so hard, she sucked her finger nail off. But it has started to grow back. A friend lost her finger nail when she slammed her finger in the car door. It has already grown back. It'll take some time, but it will grow back.
