"He whose testicles are crushed or whose male member is cut off shall not enter the assembly of the Lord."
..........Deuteronomy 23:1

Millions and millions of christians believe in a literal interpretation of the bible - so are they all wrong?

“No man castrated by crushing the testicles or having his male member cut off may come into the congregation ...” (De 23:1)

"Such ‘castration’ did not relate to congenital defects or to an accidental condition. Evidently, therefore, it had to do with deliberate emasculation for immoral purposes, such as homosexuality. Such a one was to be kept out of the congregation, not being allowed to associate with it, thereby protecting its purity."

Again, the Mosaic law covenant came to an end with Christ. Ephesians 2:15; Colossians 2:14; Galatians 5:18; Galatians 3:24-25. The Christian congregation is not now, nor has it ever been, under the Mosaic law.

No, God does not exclude people from Himself due to something beyond that persons control. He would not be a just God if he did that. Would he? Deuteronomy 23:1 refers to a practise of the time where "holy men" would intentionally mutilate themselves out of devotion for some god (other than the God of the Bible). Always remember, God is a loving, caring and just (as in Justice) God. He does not arbitrarily sanction someone for something they had no control over. God is a God of free will, choosing not to believe in him or to sinning willingly is about the only thing that can separate you from His salvation. If He were not like that He wouldn't have bothered sending His own Son to die for us/our sins.

Sorry to hear of your accident! Ouch! But don't fear ... These exclusions from the "assembly of the Lord" are exclusions not from the religious life of Israel, but from the political life of the nation.

YOU ARE NOT OF THE LEVITICAL PRIEST LINE

You do not have to enter the most holy place in the tabernacle. 1Chr.6:1-15;

It does not apply to you. We are in the as it were courtyard of Jesus.
