No, it is not sad! You obviously have the means to even be on here! There are many, many people who do not and today is a much sadder day for them. Count your blessings and smile!
Merry Merry Christmas to you!!!

Yes it is sad. My wife left the house a month ago after she told me that she had been cheating on me with my brother. I have put my life on hold and supported her while she was going to vetrinarian school. I have loved her for 7 years and then I got blindsided with this. Worst part, she seems to show no sign of remorse.
A little off the point but I guess you see that in my case, it is very sad to be here on christmas. Hope you have a better reason for sitting alone in front of a computer on Christmas Day.

Yes, it is sad. Here it is, Christmas morning, when I should be opening presents, and we have nothing under the tree.
My kids are gone from home, and have their own struggles, and my wife & I have decided we would not give each other presents because of our tight financial situation. We also told friends not to give us anything so we wouldn't have to get anything for them.
It is now 7:00 am in the morning, my wife got sick last night, from eating our leftovers, probably, and is sleeping in. I am here on the computer answering questions on Yanoo Answers -- how's that for a sad situation on Christmas Day?
:-((
We will celebrate tonight by each having TWO TV dinenrs instead of the usual one helping. We were fortunate to buy them on sale at the supermarket when they had a $10 for 10 special a few weeks ago.
I also bought a bottle of Martinelli's cider for the special occasion.
It will be a good Christmas dinner, because we are grateful for many years of marriage, through good times & bad ( It is kinda bad right now, but we are sure that will change )

I was just thinking that! But it's just so addictive... Merry christmas to you too. I figure I can spare a couple of hours trying to answer stuff and besides my family are all asleep downstairs.

It means no matter what, there is always someone here to listen. That has to be good.
I get a lot of comfort talking to all of you. So thanks and Merry Christmas!

I don't think so actually.
You could be having a boring dinner with people you have nothing in common with or anything to say to.
It would be worst and exhausting.
At least here you can have a laugh, and help someone.
Well, obviously, it's not the best way to spend Christmas day, but when you have nothing else to do, there could be worse.
