There's this really cute guy in the office. I just KNOW he wants me. I've been working for the company for five years longer than he has and he frequently comes to ask me like these questions about work. It's soooo hard to keep my hands off. I know he must feel the same but he doesn't act on it - guess he's just shy. I'm also thinking he's like this because he's British and went to an all boys school. On a company trip to New York recently, I'm so convinced that he sat MUCH closer to me than necessary in the cab from JFK to our hotel (separate rooms of course...) Just before Christmas, we had like this silly bet together. He lost and, naturally, I ordered that he be my slave for 24 hours. We only got as far as kissing when he said, "this feels like I'm kissing my sister" and pulled away. How can I get him to break out of his shell?

If he feels like he's kissing his sister when he kissed you then it's going to be really hard to change his feeling. If he kissed as you as part of the bet then I don;t think he is shy. Simple office flirting.

Damn, sorry that happended, what a crapy thing to say, maybe he is not into you, do you think he might be gay? I know im a real shy person, a couple of beers really helps, take him out to a bar and have a couple of drinks with him, then go your sperate ways for the night, then see if he calls you, dont sleep with him too soon, cause he will respect you more, hope this helps.

Be careful, you may be coming on a bit too strong for him. Try backing away a little to see how he reacts. You two have already broke the ices, so if he is interested, he will definately want more and pursue you. The challenge will do you both good. Good Luck!

sounds like he has given you some CLUES and you haven't even picked up on them.
The comment about kissing his sister should have opened your eyes!! Sounds like he really likes you as a friend....and don't you think that if he wanted more HE would have let you know by now?
If you continue to 'push' this relationship into something that it isn't....I am afraid you are going to push him away for good.

yikes "feels like i'm kissing my sister" makes me think that he thinks of you more as a friend then a lover. don't try to change him just let him know you are interested which it appears that you have. don't stalk him or anything like that. be cool. if it works in the meantime keep your options open.

It's your fault. You probably kissed him like you would kiss your brother. You are screwed with this guy unless you get him drunk as suggested and he gives you another chance.
This time do it right, really kiss him, give him a bj or ride him, but don't put him away wet . . . cuddle with him.
