Ok i got these gifts today for X-mas: a t-shirt, a hat, body wash, a book, and a box of truffles. I gave to my parents: my dad-a cool corckscrew, mom-a bath kit, grandma-sudoku things and a puzzle, and my sister-a two pack dvd. Yeah, its like every kid's nightmare christmas. How to respond?

Just be very thankful you got something.
When I was groing up, we were dirt poor, and christmas day was like any other. No gifts, just another day to work, but getting double pay was good.
We still do not give gifts to ourselves on Christmas, the habit has been too long ongoing, so now even though we could, we don't.
They gave you the body wash for a reason -- use it, and be thankful.

Remember this, it is better to give than to receive. I never judge any particular gift i receive. It's a gift someone was kind enough to give you. Consider yourself fortunate that the person giving you the gift remembered you enough to get you something.
Personally i feel bad this year cause i didn't buy as many gifts for people this year as i have in the past. Yet, I got buried this year with very many expensive gifts.

you ungrateful person!!! at least you got something- be glad to have your parents!!! go live in a third country where they get nothing!! not even food!!! we are spoiled here in America- give the gifts to the salvation army and watch a person with nothing enjoy them, then maybe you can appreciate the things you do have --- aughhhhhhh!!!!!!! spoiled, spoiled rottennnnnnnnn!!!!!!
