Anti-illegal here

I am anti-illegal because of the financial drain on our hospitals, and private services in the US.

In Greeley, CO, an illegal can get pregnant, carry the baby, and have the baby at a total cost to them of 10 dollars. I had a friend just recently pay 6,000 dollars to have her baby.

Why are we offering these services to people that aren't even citizens, and yet treating our own citizens like crap?

There are also the taxes that the illegal immigrants aren't paying. Reference to the recent raid of Swift and Co, where stolen IDs were used. The illegal immigrants were putting down 5 deductions on their pay stubs, and not paying one red cent toward taxes.

Cost of deportation of each illegal immigrant is 2-4000 dollars. We are inbetween a rock and a hard place.

Well, what do you want to do about it? escalate it? The way to bring about change is with comprehensive immigration reform, which anti-illegal groups oppose because it grants amnesty. Why do anti-illegal groups oppose amnesty? It has been done before in the U.S., unfortunately it was not followed by a proper reform of the actual immigration system in this country. Any basic understanding of demographics affecting the U.S. labor force makes it clear that immigration is important for economic growth in this country, and that mass deportations would (a) cost an incredible amount of money to U.S. tax payers and (b) be very detrimental to U.S. companies which, rightly or wrongly, employ illegal immigrants. What is needed is some rationality. There are fringe groups which have latched on to the "pro-illegal" groups that could potentially devolve the discussion. It is also perfectly understandable that illegal immigrants find themselves in the frustrating position of coming to a country where thousands of companies willingly hire them, while facing calls for deportation.

I am neither, since I am against mass deportation but also against open borders and uncontrolled immigration. I believe that illegal immigration is a problem that must be dealt with using the brain and not anger. Many illegal immigrants (not all) come here in an act of DESPERATION because they can't improve their condition in their home countries, and I believe that we as Americans should have mercy on these poor people that are just fighting to survive. Of course, you have others that come here because they are too lazy to go through the legal channels and come here only to commit crimes and misbehave, these should be immediately deported. Also, as soon as a SELECTIVE amnesty is given to illegal immigrants, the borders should be strongly secured AND legal immigration system improved.

Yes, illegal immigrants did commit a crime by crossing the border without permission, but they did it to survive. This can be exactly compared like victims of hurricane Katrina stealing from shops because of HUNGER, they committed a crime but can be forgiven.

I am anti-illegal, which mean I am against an illegal that is breaking our laws. How anyone can be pro-illegal is beyond my comprehension.

I am against anyone coming into this country illegally. I refuse to generalize by lumping them all into one category, I do not believe that many of them are criminals. Yes entering is a misdemeanor but here are plenty of Americans that commit them as well and it doesn't make it ok because they are Americans.

Anti-illegal. I think they need to do it legally. It is not an excuse that they did it to survive. Breaking the law is wrong it does not matter why.

Neither. I do not blame the immigrants for wanting to find a better life and survive. Were you in their place, you would do the same thing.

however, they are in violation of US law- that makes them illegal. I don't support that, though I can understand it. I do think that the law needs to be changed to reflect current reality (do you think the costs would be nearly as large if they paid taxes?)

also, the ideals of this country make for freedom and liberty from oppressive nations. Whatever happened to give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses yearing to breath free?

Anti-Ilegal. Because my neighbor came here from Germany with his family (he was a boy), to get here they had to apply for citizenship, get a sponsor, learn our history and language etc. WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THIS???? There needs to be a major change. It offends me when they are in our country protesting waving their flag etc., if their country is so damn good GO BACK!!!!!
