The proof lay in its many claims, especially its various prophesies that have come true...the arrival and crucifixion of Christ, the destruction of the Temple, etc.
It also makes several prophesies about the end times (including the re-establishment of the nation of Israel--which happened in 1947, and the movement towards global economy, one-world government, etc) that are rather striking.
I don't consider myself "religious" and am not the least bit spiritual, but I do believe the Bible to be a book of divine revelation. Yes.

You need proof? Just stop, and take a good look around you. Look at your feet and see the earth, that holds you up right now. Look at the sky that is so pretty. Look at the Sun that keeps us just the right temperature. Look at the Moon that give off the correct light at night and keep the correct gravitation just right. Look at the Stars in the sky hanging just in the correct spot. Look at the rivers, oceans, seas, lakes, ponds, underwater flows, to keep enough water for us to drink and keeps the vegetation fresh. Notice the air you are breathing right now that keeping you alive as you stand, and you wright I need proof. Take your hand and put it over your heart and feel it beating to keep the blood flowing thru your body just right. Look in the mirrow and see the flesh on your body and notice how everything is made just right. Look at your eyes and notice how they move just right and can see for miles and miles. Go to a hospital nursery and see the miracle of life in the new born babies.[amazing event] Now go to the funeral homes and see death. [reality] Take a long long look at the earth and see how everything is just in the correct spot for life.
Now take the Holy Word of God [Bible] and read it. You will read in there all about what you seen Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.
Now stick out your tongue and feel it. How it controls each word just right. Now you need proof.
God created the world and everything in it. If that not enough Proof. What can be said?
God is real, Jesus is real, Holy Bible is real, Everylasting life is real, Death is real, Heaven is real, Hell is real, The plan of salvation is real, Lake of fire is real, devil is real.
I hope and pray that you eyes and heart will see the proof.
Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hope this helps.

It would depend on what you consider proof. There is no hard scientific evidence that God exists, so it would be impossible to prove by direct evidence that the Bible came from God. However, when you consider that it is one of the most well documented ancient manuscripts, written by many authors over thousands of years with remarkable consistency, and has survived in spite of numerous attempts to wipe it out.....it does give you reason to wonder.

To answer that, you'd have to first prove there IS a God. If you believe in Him, then there's no reason to doubt that the Bible is His word. The Bible expands many years over multiple prophets, many of whom keep agreeing with each other. If you believe God is their guiding source, then there's your proof.

Well, if a book says it was God's word, who could doubt it? By the way I have a couple of hitherto unseen Picasso's I can let you have for a couple of mill, along with some really good stock in the Brooklyn Bridge.

No there is no Proof! Just as there is no Proof that there was a big bang. You are not going to convert me and I will not convert you. So lets all agree to disagree and get on with our lives. K?
