Both have redeeming values. But love knows no boundaries and
even if you commit to someone there is nothing to stop you from
loving someone else. Love is fickle but enduring. The most imp thing is respect, honor , true commitment, commune souls with purpose to be together.

I have heard of cases where love marriage without the consent of parents does survive ...but after a lot of hardships..the couple has to face a lot of problems - emotionally, financially and morally...if the couples financial standing is not gud enuff... If there is a solid understanding bet the couple...they do pass all through this...and yes after a few mths/yrs...parents do agree....but the percentage of the couples surviving through all this is very less...most of them fall apart after the acid test. I would suggest not to get married in a haste...but yes do stick to ur guns...parents will eventually see from ur point of view....Both in love and arranged...marriages need to be worked on...u cannot take any case for granted...even if u know the person well...after marriage...there goes in a different level of understanding, commitment and adjustment...those who dont realise this...suffer later.
Arranged marriages work out well too...and it works out well only if there are no expectations from the spouse...so its just on what you want. If you have an image already formed in ur mind about ur spouse with a lot expectations...then its better u know the person well before you get into an arranged marriage.

Love marriage. This way you can base your marriage on honesty and trust. Plus you know that you care about the person.
I had two teachers in high school that would debate on this all the time. The one that married for love decided that was the best way because you could test the water before the marriage. He even suggested living together so that you really knew what you were getting yourself into. The other one thought that meeting on the day of the wedding was the best because then you have to work together and learn to love each other. Well, now he's getting divorced and the one that tested the water is still happily married.
Which do you think worked out best for them?
Parents' opinions don't matter. It is your life and you will be the one continuing to live it after they pass away. My mother-in-law absolutely despises me and I'm still happily married. My husband essentially told her to get lost when we got together. As long as both of you are happy, forget about what the rest of the world thinks.

It is little lesser than Choosing Between DEVIL and DEEP SEA. Choosing between Brett Lee and Shane Bond. Choosing between Waqar Younis / Wasim Akram. Choosing B/wn Younis Khan / Mohammed Yousuf. Hey! It means ......... ? Dont Let the Trouble Trouble you Before Trouble Troubles You. Face the inevitable.... Marriage.... Let it happen either way. After 10 Years of Marriage, everything will have a equal weightage. Both inlaws forget their children. In a love marriage it happens little early.

of course, arranged marriage. love marriages mostly fail. love after marriage is great excitement, while marriage after love has no excitement. Above all marriage in India is not only a bondage between two persons, but a bondage between two families. one has to think about it first. love marriage usually makes two persons happy, while arranged marriage every relation happy including self..
