From time to time, I am asked if I am saved and other times I am asked about my salvation. Everytime the person or persons are trying to tell me I need to be saved. Eventually, I think, when I'm older it'll be fine but why should I .

It doesn't seem like too many people are answering the question you asked- what IS salvation.

Salvation comes from the word 'save', and it means being rescued. Salvation from a burning building means that a person comes in and takes you to safety.

In a religious context, what IS salvation? What do we need to be saved from? How can we be saved from whatever that is? This is a big topic- the entire Bible was constructed over 4,000 years to answer that question. I will offer a few quick thoughts, and if you are interested in more information email me.

First, we must be saved from our sins and the consequences of them. What is this about? The first book of the Bible gives a quick history about how mankind is VERY good at doing the things that God does not want us to do- He doesn't want us to do these things because they are harmful for us and separate ourselves from Him. Romans 3:23 tells us that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (sin is something that we DO, not something we ARE or INHERIT from our ancestors). So at some point, we all do something we know we shouldn't do for one reason or another (what most people think of as our conscience is our God-given morality-meter). Such actions separate us from God, because He cannot dwell were sin is. At our death, or at the end of time (whichever comes first), God will judge us based on the things we have done (2 Corinthians 5:10)- if we have sin, then we cannot be with Him (nor can we truly be with Him in this life if we have sin, but that is much more difficult to detect or feel consequences from...). There is only one place where God is not, and that is Hell. Hell was not created for man, but rather for those spiritual beings who rebelled against God and could no longer be in Heaven where God is (see Matthew 25:41). However, because that is the only place where God is not, then even those humans who have sin and cannot be with God will be forced to go there, and because the presence of a good God is not there, it is a miserable place.

Our lives here on Earth can also be miserable enough if we have not had this salvation- consider the countless millions who waste their lives pursuing shallow and empty dreams, who hurt others to gain selfishly, who find no purpose or meaning to why they are here, who live with mistakes and doubt and regret and see no hope to escape the life they see as miserable. They also need salvation- someone to save them from the life they cannot seem to get away from. Is there any way out?

The Bible continues the story into the New Testament by telling us about Jesus, who was at once both God and man at the same time. He lived to show us what potential man can reach, he taught to tell us what God wants us to do, and he loved us to the extent that he opened the door for anyone who wants to be saved from what I just explained to get it. It's a long story (see John 21:25), but it involves him actually sacrificing himself so that the price for a person's sins would be paid by Jesus instead of that person- because the kicker is that EVERY sin HAS to be paid for by someone, the punishment cannot be avoided (see Romans 6:23).

That is what salvation is, but not everyone is interested. Jesus himself said that he came for the sick, not those who considered themselves healthy (Mark 2:17). Now, we can know from what we've already said that all of us are stricken with the problem of sin, but if someone doesn't feel that, then they won't be interested in being 'healed' from it. That sounds like where you are- you don't feel like right now you NEED this salvation thing. Whether or not you live for 100 years or another 4 minutes, we cannot know. Eternal destiny is on the line- that's why you talk about 'being saved' when you get older... but you might consider that your life now would be better if you could gain this salvation now instead of putting it off. The Bible says in Hebrews 3:13-15 that we should encourage each other TODAY to walk away from the decietful life that sin brings- it says 'do not harden your hearts', meaning that we should try to be open to the idea of being saved while we have opportunity.

The fact that every culture through time and geography has in some way searched from something points me to two conclusions: 1) There is something out there above and beyond us that we are all looking for, and 2) whatever 'it' is, we must need it, or else we wouldn't be searching for it. If you dig deeper, you can come to understand that we are all searching for God, because he created us, he wants us to be with him, and he knows how to give us the best life there is (he should know, since he created our life in the first place...). And you can come to learn that we all need him- you need him- because he offers us a way to escape the dead end that our lives are on unless we get on a different course.

The Bible tells us how to get on that other course- but that's a whole 'nother answer to a different question.

Is There Any Hope of Salvation?

The 20th century has been called one of the bloodiest centuries humanity has ever known. Crime, wars, ethnic strife, drug abuse, dishonesty, and violence have been especially rampant during the last few decades. Add to this the pain and suffering that have been the result of sickness, old age, and death. Who does not long for liberation from the enormous problems that exist in the world today? As we look to the future, is there any hope of salvation?

CONSIDER the vision that the apostle John was entrusted with some 2,000 years ago. He wrote: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:3, 4) The prophet Isaiah likewise foretold: "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken it."—Isaiah 25:8.

Just imagine what the fulfillment of God's promises will mean! Mankind will be rescued, or delivered, from oppression and violence, from the causes of suffering and distress. Why, even sickness, old age, and death will not plague us! God's Word, the Bible, promises everlasting life under perfect conditions on earth. (Luke 23:43; John 17:3) And it is available to all who desire it. "[God's] will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth."—1 Timothy 2:3, 4.

To benefit from God's promises, though, we must understand the role Jesus Christ plays in our salvation and exercise faith in him. Jesus himself said: "God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Pointing to the central role of Jesus Christ in this matter, the apostle Peter said: "There is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved." (Acts 4:12) The apostle Paul and his associate Silas urged a sincere inquirer: "Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will get saved, you and your household."—Acts 16:30, 31.

Perhaps the Christian people wants you to have the same experience as they do. Salvation to many religion presented in different forms. I guese you need to examine well what sort of teachings are you following. Or do you really understanding what's going on in this world. For sure, all of us will meet death, meaning, we will all die. Now, if a Christian person informed you that you need to be saved then he/she has a special concern on you. If you know what is right from wrong, then you are ready also to decide to accepting the truth. It depends of what kind of christianity you are talking about. Roman Catholic Christianity or Protestant Christianity? In Protestant Christianity, the teaching is: it will not cost you a dime in order to be saved. Repent for your sins (be totally sorry, and do not do it again), at this stage you are seeking forgiveness of your sins. Then, acknowlege Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior, and believe it by faith that He has forgiven your sins, then, that's the time you can considered yourself as "saved". But in Roman Catholic teachings, you need to do some penance in many forms it depends on the type of sin you've committed, and you'll be asked to pay for indulgence(s). It's now for you to decide which one, which way, hell or heaven. Check it out before it's too late. This is a serious matter.

John 10:10
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (referring to your needs)

the truth is, there is no better life than the Christian life, so if you decide to receive Christ now, while you are young, you have your whole life ahead of you and God can use you mightily.

sure you can wait, but why? you want to have some fun first? I've been a Christian over 20 years and had a lot more fun than I did when I was drinking, drugging and sleeping around.

2 Corinthians 6:2
For He says:“ In an acceptable time I have heard you,And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

don't wait, you are not promised tomorrow

To be saved, you must accept Jesus as your personal Saviour..You must live the best you can for Him and when you've done wrong, you should ask for forgiveness..once you are saved doesnt mean that you can just go out and sin and then just ask for forgiveness for it....To know to do right and doeth it not, to Him it is a sin...We must repent daily...
The reason you need to be saved is simple...Do you wanna go to Heaven or Hell when you die?

Heaven is going to be a wonderul paradise where never comes night...Jesus will be the light of the city...we will all have new glorified bodies with no flaws...no sickness,no pain, no death, no crying...You won't remember of the bad things that happened here on earth...Its gonna be GREAT!!!
Hell on the other hand is going to be place of constant torment, constant pain and suffering...burning continuously forever and ever...smelling flesh burning, no water to drink..crying and screaming and gnashing of teeth...you'll remember every opportunity that you were given to get it right with the Lord...Just constant TORTURE!

So I say to you, where would you rather spend eternity?

Let me tell you about spontaneous salvation! Your life is about to become happy, blissful and gleeful when you hear the deal I have for you.
I mean the deal the Baptist church has for you. You go to the preacher's alter, after the church meeting, and you kneel and do the special incantation, wherein you declare extra deep and emotional belief in Jesus, and you get saved, and you receive a free pass for Judgment Day.
One really great feature of this deal is that you can still sin (just be discreet). Yes, you can sin and still get into heaven, cause it's a guarantee, and Jesus loves all who believe in him, cause this is a deal that the Baptist church arranged with Jesus, and no other church can offer it, not even the Catholic church.
May God bless you, and you're welcome in advance!

You should not until you are ready.Christ is the one we answer to not those that seek your "salvation",they seek to glorify themselves not Christ.Live your life and listen now and then for the voice of Christ.Salvation is a gift and almost never happens in one fell swoop,it is a gradual thing in which you learn to listen and depend on Christ.

After this life(which is relatively short compared to eternity),and after death, there's only one of two places to Go. The Kingdom of God(Heaven), or the Lake of Fire(Hell). Only people getting into heaven are those who accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour.

God Bless!And Merry Christmas!

Muslims believe that mankind's salvation will result from the worship of God as "One" without equals or partners. Islam teaches us that we can pray directly to God without an intermediary and that no soul can bear the burden of another. The Qur'an teaches us that only God can forgive sins, punish or reward. The Qur'an also teaches us that the nature of humanity is good, and we did not inherit sin from Adam. Each soul comes into being free of sin and inclined toward goodness and is capable of doing good and unless taught against its nature, will incline toward good deeds. The teachings of Islam guide mankind back to our pure nature through knowledge of God.

Adam "atoned" for his sin by saying "My Lord I have sinned and if you do not forgive me and have mercy upon me then I shall indeed have lost." So God forgave him. Similarly, all human beings have the door to forgiveness left open to them by God

As a Christian, i can't lose salvation. because of the fact i'm in the palms of GOD Who has promised to maintain me and no person nor element can take me out of His palms. GOD has promised to never depart me nor forsake me. i be attentive to that i can do a sin & the Holy Spirit won't do it with me. So people who do particular sins, the Holy Spirit won't ever be in us if we do them. Like blaspheming GOD, or offending the sons and daughters who love Jesus, or if we slander our brother/sister in Christ, calling them evil whilst they're obeying GOD abiding in Christ... those sins separate a individual from the physique of Christ. so they are not abiding in Christ. those nonetheless could be sealed via the Holy Spirit of promise. yet their deeds would be fried away whilst their house is examined via fire for what they geared up on the ROCK beginning place. on the thank you to abide in Christ is to be doing issues as unto the LORDS and build up eternal development blocks on the ROCK beginning place. Deeds carried out rooted if faith, desire, love, excitement... that is not obtainable for one born of God to abide in sin [making it a cushty habit] by way of Holy Seed [for they're sealed of the Holy Spirit unto the Day of Redemption whilst they 1st believed]. as quickly as we habitually dedicate sexual sins or are a serial rapist or serial baby abuser or a hater & assassin. a individual who abides in sin conveniently isn't born of Gods Spirit nor cleansed via His Blood. they are in a position to nonetheless come to repentance... whilst they're nonetheless alive in the international. Or they're going to die of their sins. that's the Fathers will that none perish, and that all and sundry can come to repentance, to be saved [obtain eternal existence].
