Firstly... that's cr@p!
Secondly, ministers of religion go to university to gain an MA which lasts 4 years, then they go on to earn a BD in divinity, a further 3 years. Furthermore, they do 2 years worth of training for the job alongside another, more experienced, minister.
So there... get you fecking facts straight before you call those guys down!

It's nonsense! Why? Where in the world can you find priest or pastor no need of formal education? And, no worry because there is no such thing as "common sense", it's only a thought. Why descriminate the other two with that of a scientist or science person. You know why these two religious figure are in the center stage? Because they believe in what they're doing, and what they had learned, in short, they have faith. Science people, even though they were informed about the truth and they knew it, they keep on denying, that they want to have more tangible evidence to convince everyone, and eventually ends up with more complicated experiments and study. Science people lack faith, that's the only difference. But the world is changing, because many scientist nowadays are strong believer of what they do, and some believe in God.

To become a Tianic Priest I had to study for 24 years. I had to learn and prove 3 other faiths. I had to learn Herbal Medicine, Botanical Pharmacology, Psychology and Social science. Those were just the studies outside of my faith . Within the faith, I had to learn Spiritual healing, Magic theories. Energy use and direction. The entire Tianic texts and Dream Theory. Then study Theology, Myth, Religious Ideology. Religion Creation, Religious destruction and war ideologies. I had to understand Man's Religion Philosophy.
So I suppose your finger points either to Christian and Catholic, Pastors or Priests?
I am after all a scientist, to include History, Theology, Botany, Botanical Chemistry, Psychology, Sociology. Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Political Sciences and finally Philosophy.

Self proclaimed wisdom is foolishness.
The beginning of knowledge is reverence of God.
Most science research and testing is done with a preconceived notion that God is not possible. Is not science suppose to consider all possibilities? Most scientists are too obstinate to acknowledge how great God is.
Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
There is only One High Priest, Jesus Christ.
A Pastor should lead people to pasture and still waters. The pasture is the Word of God and the still waters are peace of mind.
Does science or people of a so-called proper education teach us of spiritual things? No. So their benefit to mankind is only temporary.
The benefit to mankind by a good Pastor is eternal.
Think about it, maybe 80 years if you live that long compared to eternity. The flesh WILL perish. Your soul can be eternal.
Each person must sail their own ship and steer a course.
If you steer for the beacon of eternal life Jesus Christ, all of man's knowledge and wisdom is vanity.
Where is the wisdom of wanting eternal death?
No where, not to be found !!!!
Where is the common sense of wanting eternal death?
No where, not to be found !!!!
IS NOT IT ABOUT TIME THAT YOU WAKE UP TO REALITY

Religious "icons" have no business participating in politics or government or making contraversial speeches or publicly commenting on important human issues......They should instead be busy helping people and teaching them on an individual level
(Matthew 23:6-11) . . .They like the most prominent place at evening meals and the front seats in the synagogues, 7 and the greetings in the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi by men. 8 But YOU, do not YOU be called Rabbi, for one is YOUR teacher, whereas all YOU are brothers. 9 Moreover, do not call anyone YOUR father on earth, for one is YOUR Father, the heavenly One. 10 Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for YOUR Leader is one, the Christ. 11 But the greatest one among YOU must be YOUR min. . .
(Matthew 28:18-20) . . .And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. . . .
(John 6:14-15) . . .Hence when the men saw the signs he performed, they began to say: “This is for a certainty the prophet that was to come into the world.” 15 Therefore Jesus, knowing they were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone.
(John 18:33-36) . . .So Pilate entered into the governor’s palace again and called Jesus and said to him: “Are you the king of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered: “Is it of your own originality that you say this, or did others tell you about me?” 35 Pilate answered: “I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered you up to me. What did you do?” 36 Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.”

Hi dumb,
Very few pastors exists without seminary degrees. Many have at least one Master, some have multiple Masters. Many are doctors, some are PHDs.
The thought that the leaders of modern day churches un uneducated is pure propaganda.
I myself have a Doctor of Divinity.
It would be nice to get your facts straight.

Let's get our facts straight. I can get a PHD from Phoenix University on line in less than three years in a Psychology discipline. Now that won't qualify me to be a Clinical Psychologist, but I can do laboratory and experimental work anywhere that will hire me.
Most Orthodox, Mainstream religions REQUIRE you to have interned for a long period of time and rise through the ranks of lay ministry before becoming higher.
MOST like to see you get at least a BA degree and go to Seminary school for a period of time, then apprentice.
An overwhelming amount of Priests and Ministers hold actual PHDs from brick and mortar, accredited Universities.
The exception to these rules are your NEW AGE relgions, most of which started in the 1800s. They make anyone who holds with the party line a minister.
You will be hard pressed to find a Methodist, Presbyterian or Lurthern minister who does not have at LEAST a BA degree and years of studies and apprenticeship as an ordained minister.
If you do, you will find they have EXTENSIVE lay histories that amount to 15 years apprenticeship teaching Sunday School, being Elders, being Deacons and that they've mastered the rituals.
Let me tell you something about SCIENCE.
My UNCLE was hired as a "grunt" worker at a Hospital. He pushes patients in wheel chairs. Cleans bed pans, passes out meals.
AFTER 5 years he became a Nurses Aid and eventually became a Psychiatric Group Leader.
He had a HIGH SCHOOL education and he RAN group therapy sessions for Alchoholics using Transactional Analysys methods (the Eric Berne, MD, Approach to Freudianism).
They told him if he went back to college they could pay him more money to do this.
So he did, got a AA Degree in Nursing and became an RN and his salaray went up from 15K a year to 25K a year, but his job didn't change. He was still a lay Psychiatric Group leader. He WAS a therapist, working under a Pshchologists or Psychiatrist.
He was to the Psychiatric profession what a Para Legal is to the Law.
So, he WAS a supervised THERAPIST with only a High School diploma.
His previous job was musician.
In a LAB or HOSPITAL it is a FACT that ANY worker may do anything under supervision they KNOW how to do, provided the staff approves and supervises EXCEPT they cannot do things restricted by law, such as prescribing drugs or dispensing them.
A friend of mind had a BS degree from CCNY in Chemistry and he worked at Columbia Pictures film labs. His boss left and he ran the lab temporarily until they hired a PHD (a PH D was required to run the lab by Columbia policy) and HE (my friend with the BS degree) had to TEACH the PHD how to do all the work.
That's how Science works.
PH D, MS, BS are just different levels used to divy salary and prestige.
Anyone with a BA degree in Psychology can do individual or group therapy at a clinic under supervision.
Anyone with an MA or MS and 5 years experience in clinical Pscyhology under supervision can apply for a PRIVATE PRACTISE LICENSE as a CLINCIAL SOCIAL WORKER and do anything they know how to do.
Anyone with a PH D in Social work or Psychology and 1 year of clinical experience under supervision can also apply for a PRIVATE PRACTISE license.
The term Clinical Pschologists can ONLY be used by someone with a PH D in Psychology, 1 year experience and a license to do private practise.
You can't call your organization a "School" unless it meets state laws for a School, but you can call your group a "learning center." This is how Learning Tree and similar organziations "teach" courses with "lay" instructors (who have no degrees or credentials) to the public.
They aren't SCHOOLS.
The University of Phoenix has MET the rules of the state of Arizona to call themselves a School and a University.
It also has affliated with a national "accreditation" body of "on line" school systems and "meets" criteria for such "accredidation"
According to a friend of mine who is a credentialed teacher and runs a school in Masadonia that don't mean a bag of beans!
I can start the National Coalition of Accredited Schools so long as I meet minimum requirements to run a business.
My "accreditation" would be valid if I simply require that ALL affilates meet local laws to call themselves a "school" and that they require in each school year that Math, History, Science and English, Literature or Reading be taught.
Then it becomes a valid "accreditation" of a school, by a national organzation with minimal requirements.

You obviously done no research. Priests have lots of schooling. And science is included in it. Poor deluded person that you have been, do a little homework. You are thinking about the E. Gantry's of the world. about 1/16 maybe of 150 percent. Look at the string of degrees after the Popes name . Its quite impressive. Do not be a closed minded person..

I sure don't know where you got that idea as I spent a lot of years in study and graduated from College.
I also had to appear before a board of twenty Licensed and Ordained Pastors and go through a grueling examination before I myself was Ordained.
Do I know everything there is to know?
Absolutely not.

you" live in a dumb world" and are contributing to making it become dumber and dumbert!!
Most priests or pastors are required to have at least four years of University studies PLUS at least three years of Seminary; many are also required to have "ongoing studies".
For YOU to te a "science person" all you have to do is read a few speculations on some web site then spout them over here.
