I believe so...the church in the early years took out and inserted many things to suit their world view and goals of suppression of the serfs and attainment of secular power.
Just my opinion folks...don't get all hostile...

Unless one is born again, he cannot discern the Scriptures. All of the bible is GOD-breathed, which means holy men of yesterday....were INSPIRED by GOD HIMSELF and GOD was the grande overseer of the writings.
Also:
"The Word of GOD is quick, and powerful; and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. NEITHER is there any creature that is not manifest in HIS SIGHT; BUT ALL THINGS ARE NAKED AND OPENED UNTO THE EYES OF HIM WITH WHOM WE HAVE TO DO!".
(Do you really think an omniscient God such as HE IS~would allow for ERROR to occur?....NO!)
There are many other words readily available which back up the VALIDITY of the Scriptures.....GOD has allowed only that of which HE wanted in the final canon.
It is an issue of faith, then~ for you. Do you believe the Scriptures contain inaccuracy? You shouldn't, because the enemy will have your mind ever shifting to and fro, to keep u in a state of unbelief in the miracle which is the BIBLE. And if you don't have the Word of God, you will be lost concerning the many, many things that the Lord wants you to see and know.
God Bless you on this HIS Day,
the BLESSED DAY we use in remembrance of HIS birth!
God Bless you so much,
^7^

The Word (Bible) gives life if led by the Holy Spirit.
The Letter (Bible) kills if led by Satan.

The Bible and the Gospel, no. The faith of men through weak and faulty understanding not having been lead of the Spirit, yes!

NEVER take IT literally. When reading, always have a few chalices of wine, or even better, spirits, and several wafers of metaphor, with the Life of Brian playing in the background.

THIS book is the Holy Book of God, of celestial Inspiration. It is the Bible of Salvation, the Noble Gospel. It is the mystery of the Kingdom and its light. It is the Divine Bounty, the sign of the guidance of God.
