When I choose a photo as wallpaper; it either gets stretched to fit the screen; or shows only partially (if i choose the option "centered" or "tiled"). How do I solve this problem, without me having to resize each photo using MS paint or some other software? Thanks for help!!

You can't.....the size of the phot is the size of the photo, if you want to set it as the background photo of the desktop you'll have to either stretch the phot or resize it to the same as the desktop........otherwise you could use a program like webshots, it'll try to size the photo for best fit on your desktop.

Chances are your photos are saved in jpg format. This does not take resizing well(unless its smaller) These types of files are pixel by pixel and when resized they get distorted and dont look so good anymore. There is no solution to your problem unless the picture was the size you wanted from the beginning. You can either strectch it, center it or tile it. If you want a picture to fit your desktop automatically it has to be the size when created. You might try saving your picture in tiff format when you load it into your system. you need to use a high resolution(300 psi)One thing to remember, the bigger the file size the more of your memory it will use, even on your desktop. Put the picture on your screen as background and then right click and then properties. A box will come up, go to desktop and then click stretch. You should have it on the screen as a full picture.

its all gotta do with the resolution of the pic....
do one thing... go to www.irfanview.com and download irfan view and its plugins set and then install it......
open the file in ti and resize the pic to ur desktop resolution ex.. if you have 800x600 resolution set at ur desktop then resize the image to 800x600

it should fit the desktop. oderwise u hv to change it through photoshop to reduce the size.
oderwise right click on desktop. go to properties. -->settings.then increase the resolution
