I don't think there is a quicker way than to put it in cold water in your sink. It's too big to fit in a microwave, and if you put it in the oven, it'll cook unevenly and it'll ruin it.

Put it in your sink and leave the cold water running on top of it.

Disinfect the bathtub...then fill it with tepid water (water that is room temperature) (Use the "elbow" test.) ..turn on the cold with just enough hot to make the water feel like nothing but wet against you skin..neither hot , cold, or warm. To do this...put your elbow under the running water flow and adjust as needed.
Put you bird in the bathtub to thaw...change out the water to keep it "tepid" and it should thaw, depending on size...in a few hours!
Now..
IF IT DOESN"T THAW QUICKLY ENOUGH>>> and you just HAVE to get it on cooking>>>>

While it is soaking in the "tub bath"...work the legs around...loosening the joints...mov ethem up and down in the joint where our knee would be...continue to do this until you get the legs to move fairly free... THEN start working to remove the giblet package from the cavity of the bird and the neck from skin area...ONCE you have removed the giblet package...you CAN go ahead and season the bird and cook him...you just can't "stuff it"
Leave the cavity UNSTUFFED and begin to cook turkey and it will be just fine . It will cook as long as there is no stuffing inside...and you can cook stuffing in a pan...
Good luck with the bird!!!

Cold water methodis the quickest Safe method. Too warm and you'll grow bacteria while you defrost. You really dont want to give food poisoning for Christmas, do you? Or you see if a grocer is open for a short time today and buy a fresh turkey.

A microwave relay station dish is the quickest way I know, tie a rope around the turkey and sling it up on that dish...wait 10 seconds and pull 'er down...voila...well cooked turkey...LOL

How long do you have. The person above me is right. Where I work we put them in deep sinks with water running for 24 hours, turkeys take less. Merry Christmas and I hope everyone loves your dinner.
