Hi I have this pinky red rash on the 'trunk' of my body and it is quite worrying. There is no bleeding under the skin, so no chance of Purpura. It is occasionaly itchy, they are dry and some have flaky bits of skin. They have no definite edge and fade into the surrounding skin. I don't think it could be eczema or hives.I've been to the pharmacist about it and he prescribed some cream for fungal infections and anti-histamines (loratadine). I've been using these but they don't seem to have a lot of effect and today it seems to be worse. It started out on my chest, spreading to my tummy then my back and neck. I have recently had a stomach bug with vomiting and diarrhoea but I don't think they are related because those symptoms have cleared up now. Has anyone had any experience of this problem?

OK, I had a really bad rash similiar to your's, they were red spots all over my stomache, back, arms and legs. It might have been caused by different soap, or laundry detergents because I was using various things to wash with. It was itching and scaling, they never bled. The Doctor prescribed me Lotrisone, it worked pretty well, but I had to use it for a long time, finally I am free of the rash and have not had it for a couple of years now. Best of luck. :)

As long as she doesn't seem bothered by it and it doesn't get any worse then I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to mention it whenever you go in for checkups. Babies usually break out in rashes/pimples. My son went through a phase and the doctor said it was because of the oil in his skin.

I want to give a personal testimony and highly recommend this natural eczema curing method for any eczema suffers:

I have been suffering from eczema since when I was just a kid and none of the many products I tried ever really worked. My eczema kept coming back again because I was never really addressing the root of the problem

Since you recently had a "stomach virus" my money is on food-borne illness.Bacterial infections that are untreated can cause those kinds of symptoms. Especially a streptococcus infection. If left untreated it goes into rheumatic fever, scarletfever, scarlatina, etc. I would go get seen, strep is highly contagious

As an emt, of course it's hjard to tell without seeing it, but I would guess that it's an allergic reactio. Try to check your pattern of eating to find out what it may beor try a benadryl and see if it goes down a little

Sounds like you need to change your washing powder. Especially if you are using a biological powder. Try to change to non- bio and see if that helps.

Also ensure that the clothing is being rinsed properly when in the washing machine. If the machine is faulty, or has too much clothing in it, the clothes are not adequately rinsed and your skin comes into contact with the detergent.
