okay I have a 12 lb ham and it says bake at 325 at 18 minutes per pound. How long is that suppose to be? This is my first time

I'm doing the same thing right now. I'd put it in for a few hours. Go 2 hours to begin. You'll be able to tell by pulling it out after that if it's starting to get dry or if you need to add more liquid or what. I would say between 2-3 hours and it'll be done.

If you want it to be REALLY yummy...instead of putting water in with it, put about a half of a 2-liter of Sprite or 7-Up in with it, and top it with pineapple and the pineapple juice.

If you have some tin foil, cover the whole thing with tin-foil to keep in the moisture and taste of everything.

It's freakin' yummy!

3 hrs and 26 min. Be care full you do not want to dry it out. check it after 3hrs and put foil around it. Put a glaze on it brown sugar and orange juice. Or I use duck sauce and it comes out good. Good luck.
