You should usually get them their first shots between 6 and 8 weeks old.

You are getting a lot of different answers. 6 weeks for first series then back in 2-3 weeks for booster and then another booster in 2-3 weeks. Rabies vaccination given @ 3 months. The first 3 vaccinations are for parvo, distemper, and other puppy diseases or viruses. With the 3rd parvo vaccine it will get rabies. Also gets dewormed but can actually start that @ 2-4 weeks. Your vet can let you know. Good Luck!

Call your veterinarian. The age for shots and the type of shots are always changing. There are puppy shots you should get at around 3 months; the "big" shots like rabies don't usually happen until 6 months. You also need to know when to start heartworm preventative and a vet will be the best source for these answers.

I'm with Sara on this one. Her answer is the only correct and sensible one. I recently bought an 8 week old puppy that had already had it's first vaccine at 6 weeks - it was far too early. While suckling from Mum, pups benefit from her antibodies. 8 weeks and 10 weeks is spot on, and annual boosters thereafter.

in the UK a puppy has the first injection at ten weeks and the other at 12 weeks.
my 6 year old Xbreed, 3 yr old dalmatian and 5 month old doberman all had theirs done by a vet at EXACTLY this age.
that is what a PROPER, DECENT, and QUALIFIED vet recommends.

i agree with the majority. the first injections are usually given between 6 & 8 weeks old, with boosters to follow a few weeks later. then i think they get them every year. good luck with your new furry friend and merry christmas to you too.

depends on the breed a smal breed it is usually 12 weeks and 15 weeks a large breed it is 8 and 11 weeks....remember they use the same amount regardless if your dog is a small breed or a giant breed.....try and get dead vaccine if possible if not then use homeopathic along side the live vaccine to minimize a bad result....
