i am so sorry to hear of your loss. he sounds like he had a very special friend/owner. the only thing that i can tell you is to remember all the good times you had with him. when my mom's dog was put to sleep( i called him my little brother) i kept his blanket close by to feel closer to him, remembered the good times and put together a special photo album of him. now our cat is 13 and when she goes, i will create a special flower bed of rose bushes in the back yard kind of like a memorial garden. also look up the poem "rainbow bridge" but have extra tissues with you when you read it. i still tear up when i read it. again you have my deepest sympathy on your loss

A picture album would help. Take every picture that you have of Felix and put it in the album. You may want to write a few of the favorite stories about Felix in there also. Make sure that you find another YOUNG PET to spend the holidays with. They will never replace Felix but may make it more possible to be comfcorted in this time of year. I would choose one that reminds me of Felix. Have a great Christmas Day with your friends and family!!

I am so sorry for your loss. We lost one of our cats to cancer and had to put her down the day after Thanksgiving. Our vet came to the house and I held her in my lap. I still think I see her out of the corner of my eye occasionally. Our other three cats all seem to miss her too. The youngest cat now sleeps in her favorite spot and he seems to miss her the most. He calls for her all the time. I wish I could explain to him that she is in a better place.

She was so sweet, but her time was up and I could not let her suffer. I am not sure how one ever really gets over the loss of a friend/companion/child. It takes time. I like to look at photos of her and remember all the funny crazy things she did. Sometimes I laugh - sometimes I cry. I guess it is all part of life. Eventually, you will remember only the joy of his life, not the pain of his death.

Much love,

cat

I like to create some kind of memorial for my pets when they pass. It is just a remembrance to them, that they are not forgotten. Sometimes a tree, sometimes a yard ornament, Others I plant a little garden....Just a little something that you too can remember them. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Try to think of the good times you had with him. Try to get active. Go to a health club or something to gett yourself moving and your mind off death. He's in a good place... sorry for your loss.
