They don't exist, never did. The Book of Mormon was actually a work of fiction that Joseph Smith stole and used to start his cult. Nothing in the Book of Mormon can be substantiated, no archeology, no historical records that can corroborate the historical claims of a "lost tribe" of Israel that came to America. It's all fiction. And if your wondering Mormons are not Christians any more than Muslims are Christians. They don't believe in the Trinity, or for that matter most any other Christian doctrines. But, I probably know more about Mormonism, than most Mormons.

Pinkadot said it, ONLY GOD KNOWS.
To those that don't believe there has been no evidence shown for anything in the Book of Mormon then they need to do more studying, especially in archaeological studies. There has been more evidence that you would believe.
Also like some have said about the Bible being able to withstand all detractors because it is TRUE then you can say the same thing about the Book of Mormon, the more people that have tried to PROVE it being false have never been able to, in fact they just PROVE it more and more to be true.
The Book of Mormon has had only one translation(from the Golden Plates) and is THE MOST CORRECT BOOK WRITTEN unlike the Bible. As our 8th Article of Faith says We Believe the Bible to be the True Word of God as it is Translated Correctly.

Joseph Smith claimed to have had visions and been visited by angels that led him to the secret hiding place of the golden plates, the book of Moroni, which supposedly tells the story of a lost tribe of Israel that somehow ended up in North America. Smith was given divine guidance to translate the plates, and wrote the Book of Mormon. Conveniently, after the translation was complete, the plates disappeared. No one ever saw them except for Smith and his inner circle.

Unlike the Bible, nothing in this tale has ever been substantiated by historical, archeological, or other research. In fact, modern genetic research has shown that there is absolutely no genetic link between Hebrew people and Native Americans. So much for the lost tribe story.

People mock and discredit the Book of Mormon, the LDS Church and Joseph Smith, but never never never!!! has the Book of Mormon been proven wrong.
Anyone who does try to prove it wrong either digs themselves into a whole and proves it correct, or converts to the church.
Most people who say it is not true have never read it.
The golden plates were taken off Joseph Smith after he was finished translating.
its all about faith I guess...

in recent years they have found a ton of similar styled history books from the middle east, where the people wrote on gold, silver, and bronze plates. interesting huh...

Allegedly Moroni took them to heaven.

Have religionists taken any note of the fact that
important relics of major religions are not physically producible WITH VALIDITY?

The "sacred foreskin of Jesus", the Arc of the
Covenant or the golden tablets as examples.

Note that while the Pope would like Secular Humanists to disappear, Secular Humanists
live in the here & now & have no convenient
disapearances.

Only God knows really. The plates were taken back from Joseph after the translation was finished.

according to the church, the prophet speaks directly to god....weird how at the time god all of a sudden changed his mind was when the church was being threatened with law suits....
