Ok so apparently cfc's are a major contributor to the thinning of the earths atmosphere. Now global Warming is trapping pollution in the earths atmosphere. The thinning of the atmosphere has diminished since cfc's have been banned since the 70's. Now the problem is the atmosphere is getting too thick due to pollution not being able to escape and it is trapped here in our atmosphere. What if we unleash a huge amount of cfcs to bust a big hole in the earths atmosphere to allow the pressure of all this pollution to escape, than allow the atmosphere to repair itself again, and when the pollution levels again get too high we can bust another hole to allow it to escape.

There is a reason why the human body forms a scab where a cut has occurred. It's the natural process of healing. The replenishment of the atmosphere should not be accelerated in one step. Let the Earth heal itself, and by all means should we get out of it's way.

CFC are not what causes the hole on the atmosphere. The hole is caused when the solar winds collide with our magnetic field. this special effect makes the Van Allan belt which protects us from the sun's radiation.
The CO2 the greatest pollutant due to all the fuels we burn is not a pollutant at all. Mother nature resolved that problem a few million years ago when she introduced green plants that recycle our air for us . The plants take out the CO2 and gives us back oxygen. So CO2 as a problem never existed.
Go study and look for the good side.

nope..
i DON'T think this will exactly save mankind by solving all our pollution problems...
no matter how big a hole you make in the atmosphere [it's ozone layer, i think..] the pollution will not escape due to earth's gravitational pull - only the UV radiation will enter earth easily and we'll all get skin cancer and other skin diseases, [and probably die], so i don't think this will work...
okay????

The answer is not to pollute, or pollute as little as possible. That way the earth does not have to heal itself.
