As a Christian myself and one who often struggles when the wind blows badly upon me, I have to say even though I struggle I know it is just me and that when things straighten out I know I have believed all along and it was jus the devil messing with me trying to throw me off course.
I worry about some of the responses you will get having posted your honest cry for help. I can't point you in any direction other than to tell you to get into your word. Pray and seek GOD's face. If you ask for anything HE will lead and help. If you are not wanting to do that talk to your minister or to someone you know you can trust who is of faith.
As far as I am concerned right now--during my high periods--the bible is all I need to prove the existence of Christ.......try only watching the gospel television stations and listening to gospel radio stations....let your body soak it all up....the more you soak up the better, the easier it is the deflect the cares of this world.
How long have you been saved? Is that an issue? Do you need a better bible one that makes more sense to you? If so try the New Living Translation.
GOD BLESS and MERRY CHRISTMAS

God wants us to trust Him completely and totally—and when we doubt, we aren't trusting Him as we should. The Bible warns that the person who constantly doubts God and fails to trust Him "is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does" (James 1:8).
At the same time, God understands our doubts, and the most important thing I can tell you is that He wants to take them away and increase our faith. Do you remember Thomas, who was one of Jesus' closest disciples? When others told him that Jesus had been raised from the dead after His crucifixion, Thomas refused to believe it. He declared, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it" (John 20:25).
How did Jesus respond? He didn't rebuke Thomas or tell him just to have more faith. Instead, Jesus came to him and showed him that He was alive. The response was immediate: "Thomas said to him, 'My Lord and my God!'" (John 20:28). Tradition says Thomas became an evangelist and preached the Gospel as far as India.
When doubts come, don't let them take root in your soul. Instead, turn them over to Christ. Most of all, saturate your heart and mind every day with the truths of God's Word, the Bible. Satan will try to turn you away, but in Christ "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure" (Hebrews 6:19).

The essence of the Gospel 'The Good News" is that you too can be one with God just as Jesus was and is. In another words, the Kingdom of Heaven resides within you. That was Jesus's message. Getting to know youself is part of the process of the inward journey toward the Kingdom of Heaven to find God, who is in you! That is the Good News. However, unfortunately, The Church does not want you know that. They have a prescribed way for you to get to know God which is through the externalities of their dogma. Their dogma and their dictates unfortunately prevents you from directly experiencing God. It is best to experience God for your self. They are more concerned with the masses than the individual.

The proof of God is in every blade of grass - every atom. That we exist is definite proof of a creator. Take, for example, a beautiful painting. Could it exist without a painter? Could a great architectural structure exist without an architect? Can a creation exist without a Creator? This vast creation we call the universe presupposes an awesome Creator.
One of the proofs that Jesus Christ existed is the longevity of His teachings. Do you remember the words and life of your great grandfather? Probably not. But all of humanity remembers the Word of God revealed by Jesus and the life He lived over 2000 years ago! This doesn't happen with mere humans - only with Manifestations of God Himself.
If you want to strengthen your love for Christ and your faith in God investigate the Baha'i Faith. www.bahai.org
"And now I give you a commandment which shall be for a covenant between you and Me - that ye have faith;
that your faith be steadfast as a rock that no storms can move,
that nothing can disturb,
and that it endure through all things even to the end ...
As ye have faith so shall your powers and blessings be.
This is the balance -
this is the balance -
this is the balance."

Sam,
What's difficult about this question is that everyone can tell you what THEY believe about God and whatnot...But it won't help YOU in the long run...We all have to meet our creator one on one for OURSELVES.
I find that a sure fire way to increase "faith" is to go through things that are difficult for us (not necessarily bloodshed and despair) and come out on the other side stronger...We only grow when we're presented with challenges.
We learn that we are NOT invincible and that there are things MUCH bigger than us out there...It slowly (over the years) brings humility and we actually FEEL like administering the "golden rule"...Instead of only pretending to like other people.

You dont have to be christian, there are many out there like you, that realize the bible and Jesus may not be what it seems.
Here is my favorite advice: Think for yourself. Question authority.
Do not believe something simply because you have heard it. Do not believe anything simply because it has been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe anything simply because it is written in Holy Scriptures. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of teachers, elders, or wise men. Believe only after careful observation and analysis, when you find that it agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all. Then accept it, and live up to it.

I have zero doubt. Jesus was real, god not so much. Imagine god doesn't exist for a few days and follow Jesus' minstration about loving your neighbor as yourself. You'll do fine.

We all have doubts, at one time or another. I am a simple man, I go on faith. It works for me. Don't let others influence you too much, especially the "Thumpers" and "Atheists". I really doubt either of them know what they are doing.

Sam;
I am sorry about your doubts about God & Jesus. As a Jehovah's Witness for the last 14 years; there is no doubts in my mind about the existence of Jehovah God (Pslams 83:18) & Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:21). You need to pick up your copy of the Bible & begin reading it. Please visit the website listed below for more resources to help you overcome your doubts. Please let me know how you make out.
