I just got a 1 year old female kityy, and when I rub her and stuff she licks me? Just on my hand though. She purs when I rub her, is this good that she licks me? It's kind of gross bcause when I wash my hands, It takes sometime for warm water to come and its cold where I live.

All of my cats like to lick my hand and even my arms. I think they like the salt on the skin. (Unless I have been cooking - then I think they like to taste what I am having for dinner!)

They show affection by licking and sometimes they nip you. Read in a cat book, that nipping means they love you. I had one that would nip me on the nose and make me sneeze. Also had one that cleaned my hand to. I would have to make her stop.

well you see that you kitty likes you alot...they only lick some one when they really trust them b/c kats are very scared animals and they dont let just anyone pet there tummys...but then dont worry if her touge feels sort of rough all cats toughes are like that it helps them clean their selves....but just let her lick you b/c if you tell her no or something like that then she will think you dont like her and then she wont like you!!!

they do that to give u their odour so they can recegnize u, they mark u as their own teritory.its like u r his property.
