Like the previous answer, bad luck only comes from breaking a mirror. Unless it was a Tiffany glass table, then i would stay away from the owner for a bit. :)

Consider it luck, that you will be getting a new table. Those ore old superstitions, like walking under a ladder.. Yes as with anything else if you begin to believe in the bad effect it is going to be so for you. Why not think positive, that also will manifest, and come true. Think good, new table, or New Mirror. Things are bound to break by accident, and even by themselves when they are old. Merry Christmas

No, there is no bad luck involved with the falling into or breaking of glass table sor mirrors. These are folklore tales. Kind of like old wive's tales. Easy to believe, and based upon actual history, they are stories that no longer hold true to this day. For instance, in general, you would think falling into a glass table would be unhealthy - ie the chance of getting cut, so it used to be looked upon as a bad omen. Now one simply needs to look out for cuts, and have them cared for properly if there are any.

Take care, Andrea in NJ

No, you are thinking about mirrors. However, it will be bad if the person has to pay for the glass.
