It picked up all the Atlanta stations but bypassed all the Macon ones which are much closer. Now no signal is coming thru. I have Samsung HLP 5063 w/o hd receiver built in. I have the antenna plugged into a Dishnetwork 811 HD receiver. Why was it perfect initially and now I get nothing? What can I do to get HD networks? Is it something Dishnetwork does with their receiver to block my getting these?

Antennae’s are passive devices. Unless it has been moved the only possible failure is the 811 receiver.

Dish network is capable of blocking terrestrial over-the-air signals to their High Definition receivers.

You must subscribe to Dish network for their boxes to function correctly. Only the most basic subscription package is required.

The Dish Network 942 box has been discontinued. Currently Dish is leasing the 622 PVR and 211 boxes.

Good Luck

My son is a former dish installer. He says either your off-air antenna went bad or there is a problem in that line. The antenna input on the 811 may be defective. The best way to resolve this is to get the tech back out. They will have to run tones through the antenna lines, replace the 811 or replace everything. There will be a service fee of about $40. Sorry. No easy answers. You need the Dish man back out.

edit. My son says try to get Dish to upgrade you to a 942. The DVR there is the best thing going. Hope this helps.
