if you have an outdoor grill, you could use that. It's very tasty cooked that way. or maybe call someone you might be able to barrow one from.

I never use a roasting pan. You didn't say how big your turkey is but you can cook your turkey in a either a Pyrex pan 15 x 9 x 2 or if it's smaller even a 13 x 9 pan. Put celery or carrots on bottom of pan to rest turkey on. Prepare turkey - take out giblets, neck and season. (You probably should not stuff your turkey if cooking it this way. A lot of juices collect in the pan) Bake or roast as you normally would. I usually use a Reynolds Roasting Bag, but since you don't have one available, I would make a tent to cover the the breast area of the turkey so it doesn't burn and remove it in the last hour so it can brown. Baste the bird with the pan juices or your preference during cooking.

Note: Because your pan is shallow, you may have to remove some juice from pan during cooking. Remember these juices are coming out of a partially cooked bird. If you reserve this juice for gravy make sure you bring it to a boil and heat thoroughly so you don't get salmonella from uncooked turkey juices.

Hope this helps

Yeah, an outdoor grill works great. Takes a long time. you can also cut it up and bake or fry the pieces or the meat if you debone it.
